Possibly you have to be a late boomer to appreciate this classic from 1981. Sheena was foxy as hell.

My favorite Madonna song.

I liked most of her early stuff.  I find it a real trip that I was only a few years behind her growing up in Rochester, Michigan in the early 70's.  True fact!  Hey Detroit sister congrats on making millions in the end. Say what you will about this driven diva, but she did achieve what she had envisioned for herself back when she was a student at the  U of M in Ann Arbor.

I'm really going to switch up the general theme.   LOL

 

This is a cover tune done by students of the O'Keefe Music Foundation.  They have a fair number of Youtube vids, covers of all sorts of different songs.  

 

(side note:  this is a 14 year old boy doing the vocals)

 

(second side note:  the drummer in this vid was involved in a cover of Tool's "46 and 2" several years ago.  He was 13 at the time, and he and his fellow students absolutely destroyed it.  I mean that in a good way.  🙂  I highly recommend it.  It also has the @chisag seal of approval)
