What is the recommandation for a 5-wood?

Hello,

looking for a recommandation for a go-to-easy 5-wood.

I have good success with my mizuno 4iron MP-4 in S300 and with my M2 driver in stiff, but have days where I can't hit my R11s 3wood regular.

Been told that a good 5-wood would be easier to hit than the 3 wood.

I wanted some recommandation as I was planing to buy used.

Callaway Rogue, TaylorMade M2 or M4, Cobra F7,F8, a lot of people like Exotics, Ping G400, there are lots of solid ones out there. Yes, a 5w should be easier to hit than a 3w

I recently picked up an f8 3/4 wood pretty cheap and have never hit the ball better off the deck. Loved it so much I have a matching 5/6 on the way. Cobras recent fairways seem to just get up and go and for my pedestrian swing speed they've been the best thing I've tried.

+1 with the Cobra. I have the Fly-Z 5/7 with stock shaft in my bag and I'm not looking to replace it any time soon.

Was recently in a similar position. I tried a bunch of different options in launch monitors and ended on a TS2 with a HZRDUS Smoke. It's got a great flight off the tee and has been easy to launch in my limited swings off the deck (live in Minneapolis and ranges/courses are just starting to open). Will say though that I've been a devout Cobra user the past few years in my driver and am sure their fairway woods are monsters as well.

I put a Callaway 816 5 wood in play a while a go abd it is the easiest wood in the bag to hit, it maybe worth considering and you should be able to pick up a little cheaper considering the model cycle that has gone through callaway's offering

A couple of years ago I bought a Ping G25 five wood and have not looked back. I imagine any of the P ing models from the last several years would perform as well as my G25.

I had a Taylormade 2007 Burner 5 wood that I played for years. Still in the bag until I recently picked up a Taylormade M3 5 wood for a steal. I'm hoping I'll have more versatility with the new 5 wood but that old Burner will go right back in the bag if this M3 doesn't pan out to fit my gap.

A good 4 wood can replace both 3 and 5 wood. TEE EX10 Beta and none Beta is great head. G400 super easy, M2 1st Gen, Callaway Xr to name a few.

I play a Rogue 17* 4 wood with GD IZ shaft. I find that the 3 wood is a bigger profile, 5 wood is a smaller profile, not as forgiving and the 4 wood is a perfect fit for me when I look down at address . I would also consider getting a fairway wood and adjusting the loft if I played an adjustable fairway wood. I like the look and feel of the Rogue 17* and am getting good results with it so no need to change at this time....

Like Scott, I have a callaway Rogue 4w 17* on the way. It was supposed to be delivered today, but UPS says there was a mechanical failure that is delaying it by a day. I hope to report back that it works well for me.

I've also got a g25 5 wood. What a great club. Its SO EASY to hit.

Ping i25 5 wood set at 18.5 pwr65 regular had since november and it plays at 42.5.
