I think they are chewing gum to relieve tension, stress, or calming nerves like a fidget spinner gadget. I have chewed gum a lot on the course in the pass and I do think it can help to relieve some tension.

I read that chewing gum actually makes you hungrier. Chewing gum just calms you down in my opinion. Can't chew it on the course though. The Tiger effect is strong though as a lot a pros and as someone else stated college players, are chewing gum now. Funny how he can have that much affect.

I'm surprised that CBD hasn't taken off more in golf, but I suspect there is a stigma attached to anything pot related. If one does a little research you will find that true CBD is derived from hemp and there is no high associated with it. Like I mentioned in my earlier posts, CBD had some pretty interesting effects on me such as better focus, and a calmness over the ball while not being worried about my chronic lower back pain. It's not like I was walking around the course laughing at goofy s*** and eating potato chips, but that's probably what some people think happens when taking CBD.

I say to people don't knock CBD until you try it, you might like the results.

A buddy I went to high school with tried all the forms for his sore joints and muscles. The pills gave him diarrhea (you’re right he wasn’t walking around the course laughing..he was running ala Cheech “cheeks don’t fail me now” fame). He said ice was more effective than the topical lotion and gel. Only gum left to try I guess.. He mentioned they had a surprise drug test (federal) where he worked and no THC. Looks like all the big drug store chains are going to carry the stuff. Many sell it online but only to certain states like CO.

Just for those who fall under federal testing, there have been failures from CBD products. It CAN happen but shouldn't if the manufacturer does things right and is honest. I will give it a try when they can guarantee zero THC but I don't see that coming anytime soon.

 

We did use it on our cats who weren't getting along and you could see a difference. There's a pharmacy nearby that has it and was an early distributor. They recommend it for certain things but also tell you that while you would normally have to have massive amounts to fail a test, they cannot currently guarantee you would not fail.

I chewed gum yesterday and started double double. Got rid of the gum and everything went fine. Thought about gum again on the 15th tee. I had another double. Right now, I am thinking clearly I have the wrong gum. Is there Tour Issue gum I can get somewhere?
