NEW COBRA DRIVERS?

They are altered a bit. On the big they are almost flush with the sole so that it sits more flush with the ground.

Any performance data, or comparisons, assuming you’ve hit the F9?

 

Was recently fit for an F9 but may want to hold off til the new year.

I did hit it but, I am not swinging my best at the moment. Data was kind of worthless. I loved the way it felt and sounded. My biggest grip with the F9 was the spin. From what I can tell, it appears they lowered the spin on the non extreme model.

I have the F9 and I really like it. It still spins a little too much for me and I have to deloft it which hurts forgiveness. It appears the new line addresses some of these concerns. This has probably been my favorite driver but I am looking for a little spin relief.

I think the embargo date is done pretty soon as well. Maybe we will get some looks at the new stuff soon.

Yes end of October is supposed to be the full reveal, so hopefully sometime this week

Deeper face is about more than just spin. Vertical MOI is really important for players who miss high or low as opposed to heel or toe.

Oh yeah, we will see something within the next couple of hours, the media day is all over IG, something is bound to leak. From what I know the big story on this years driver release is the milled face, big, BIG changes are coming!

The big story is the milling now extends to the edges. Almost like a cup face but not. It is milled to thin the edges but retain strength. That and the new fairway offering that is going to be "BIG"!!

That is their high MOI very forgiving model. I think it has been posted here and taken down a few times.

Every year a new driver comes out and I want it, and then I see the price tag and remember why I still have my Fly-Z from the BST in my bag. Hoping these can change my mind, but it's going to have to be special to get me to spend my golfing money on a club and not more golf.
