Simply, I was wondering if there were any negative side effects psychologically? Again, whether justified or not, marijuana has been rejected by mainstream society.

If we've learned anything from the Deer Atler spray fiasco it's that the PGA Tour is very disconnected from what should and shouldn't be allowed. The problem they will have on their hands is when its federally legal like alcohol (becasue that's coming quickly). My guess is they will quietly remove it from the banned list.

Only if WADA removes it. The PGA tour follows WADA policy. They do this so that players are compliant with WADA for the Olympics.

Absolutely. And I’d argue that “ coming quickly “ is really strong prediction. What is “ quickly “ next 8 years ? I’d wager it doesn’t happen before 2025. I’d wager a smaller amount that it doesn’t happen before 2033.
