Alphard eWheels V2 coming

How do you adjust the wheelbase? Is it necessary. I can’t find any direction on the website.

V2 w/Rovic Swivel

Never mind. An email through the Alphard website noted the wheelbase adjust being associated with the original and not needed on the V2.

I also have a ClicGear 3.5+, and have a V2 installed. Also added the swivel kit for the front wheels. Works out great and can feel it saving my back quite a bit and reducing fatigue during the rounds. No more bending over pushing 40lbs+ up/down hills. It's my own personal caddy that never gives me bad advice. 😉

I've had my V2 for several months and it has worked great except today it simply stopped on 15th hole. Battery showed 2 lights. If I locked the remote and then re-engaged it would run for about 100 yards and then stop again.

Also I'm unable to get the App to work. It downloads but when I try to open it says "club booster v2 has stopped."

Anyone else experiencing any of this?

I have had my v2 for a couple weeks now and I absolutely love it.  I use it with a clicgear 4 w/ swivel kit. I do not use the TFS, remote only.  It’s extremely nice to use, intuitive, stable etc etc.  Highly recommend if your thinking about getting one.

photo was taken before I installed the swivel kit.

A bump on this thread as I cannot find a more current one.

I understand that performance is much better with swivel front wheel, but is anyone using it with fixed front wheel and is it really a showstopper?  I have a bag boy quad XL and obviously would prefer not to buy a new cart.

Any experiences would be appreciated.

I have 2, one since the original crowdfunding, paired with ClicGear 3.5s and changed out the fixed wheel with swivel kits on both. I did have a chance to use my second one for awhile with the fixed wheel and while not a dealbreaker, it was certainly more cumbersome to use and my perception was that it impacted battery performance somewhat because changing direction required more effort from the wheels on the V2..

Hope that helps a little....

I have V1 and V2 and found no performance issues using fixed front wheels versus a swivel. Swivel just gets you better turn radius, but no impact on battery performance.

Don’t waste your money on a new cart. I have 2 friends that have that same cart with the V2. It works perfectly fine with the fixed wheels.

Mine has been sitting inactive for a few months due to a knee injury/surgery and I just tried to charge it and the charging adapter light will not turn red and the machine will not turn on. I don't have access to their FB page, just wondering if anyone has heard of this issue or know of a possible work around. My V1 has sat longer and is charging up. Neither of my adapters seem to be working on my V2 battery.

Has anyone gotten the Sidekick wireless follow device yet and used it? I got mine late last week, but I'm probably a couple weeks from being able to play where I live, so doubt I'll be able to try it out right away.

Does anyone has the Omni cart?  They have a decent deal with the V2 + omni cart on their website and I’m considering that but it seems like the omni cart is lacking in accessories.

I have a sun mountain speed cart with a fixed front wheel so I’m leaning towards the omni cart bundle but trying to figure out if it would make more sense to buy a new push cart separately and which carts are the best to pair with the V2

I have it and it is pretty good. The cart follows a little too close for comfort mounted on the cart handle. A bunch of people are modifying it to rest on the front of their golf bag. Check out the Facebook group for a bunch of ideas.

Is your preference for it to follow behind you? I think I'm planning to have it stay to my right -- with the remote, I've mainly walked beside or behind it, and having it behind me doesn't really appeal to me, anyway. I never bought the TFS, and I think a lot of the people who want it to follow them have used TFS previously and are used to it being behind them.

I've been reading the FB group quite a bit recently, but I haven't really been clear on why so many people have been trying to figure out ways to mount it on their bags, but I think you've shed some light on that for me now.

I'm hoping to get the sidekick set up and out for a round finally in the next week or two.

Yes, I have it following right. The cart gets uncomfortably close with the unit mounted on the back of the push cart  so that his why people are moving it forward.

Anyone using Alphards cart? Bundle deal on their site makes it only $100 to add it. Could sell my Clicgear 4.0 and save a few bucks.

I just got the V2 and Omni cart bundle.  I’ve only played 9 holes with it so far but initial impression is that it is a well made cart.  It seems more sturdy than my old Sun Mountain Speed Cart but time will tell.

Downsides are lack of enough storage space (knew that going in based on reviews) and surprisingly the tubing must be smaller than 1” because the mount for my sand bottle doesn’t seem to fit properly.  I bought a net bag off Amazon for storage and I’m going to try a workaround for the sand bottle mount.

How easy is it to control the cart when an umbrella is attached to the cart handle? A lady in our group wants the motor assist but also uses an umbrella on her cart for sun protection most of the time. She wants to be close enough to her cart while it's moving to get shade from the umbrella but not sure how easy it would be to control the cart in that situation.

Not any different with or without the umbrella.  I carried an umbrella during some light rain the other day and stuck the umbrella in the cart when it was light enough to not carry it but more rain was on the way, didn’t notice any difference.

I used the Sidekick for one round and sold it. It's a cool idea, but I really prefer to follow the cart rather than having it follow me. even in the right or left follow mode, it's still a little behind you, and it's out of sight. It seems like I have a towel or headcover drop from the cart just about every round, so with it behind me, I feel like I'd end up having to run back to pick things up more often. I also worry that when playing with other people, I'd have to worry about it running into other people. Using the remote just seems a lot easier to me.

One thing that I found really annoying about it is that for it to really work consistently, it needs to have line of sight to the remote, and the mounting hardware included with the Sidekick is meant to attach to the handle of your cart, and the user manual says to mount it there. But, when you do it that way, the unit gets blocked by your clubs, and it's really buggy when mounted that way. It sounds like mounting it to the top of your bag makes it work a lot better, but when you use something according to the manufacturer's instructions and it doesn't work, it's pretty frustrating.

From what I've seen, the people who have rigged up ways to mount it to their bag, or on the handle raised up higher, it does work well, but at the moment, that involves jury-rigging something to attach it. It sounds like Alphard might be coming up with a different mounting device that will work with most bags in the near future, but I'm not sure of the timeline for that.
