I just broke up with my SIM Max 3 wood this morning

I just can't get this thing to over cook right to left. Occasionally I hit a nice baby draw but most of the shots are 20-25 yards off center to the left in trouble. I just traded it to global golf for a SIM TI 3 wood and I will adjust this one to open like my SIM Driver. Anyone have similar experiences with the SIM MAX?

I have no experience with the Max, but I will say the Ti model is VERY low spin. I game the 5 wood as my 3 wood.

I have the SIM MAX driver and love it. Bought the SIM MAX 3wd as well and hit it pretty good, not any better then my M6. But I have this OCD thing that my driver and 3wd have to match. Basically I didn't like the feel of the MAX, probably due to it being steel. Anyway ordered the SIM Ti and should be here this week.

I love the SIM TI 3 wood, I hated the SIM MAX 3 wood in fitting.

Same. Quickly dumped my Sim Max 3w b/c it consistently hooked off the planet (even more than the rest of my usual draws). Epic Flash SZ has given me much better results.

its hookey but if you are aware of it and toe it open the thing is a monster.

The TI is too hard to hit for me anyways the max is better.

Can't say I've played the SIM max, but the Epic Flash SZ has been scary good for me. The thing just wants to go straight and long. Off the tee, off the deck, off the second cut. That 3w just flat out works.

This is what I do. It's crazy low spin and very hot. 19* turned down to 17* is my 260-270 club. I then go into a "normal" 5w or 20* iron next.

It's pretty neutral imo. I can fade or draw it although I prefer to see a straight ball that just kind of bleeds off otherwise it just won't stay in the air long enough. I haven't gotten it on a launch monitor but I'd wager it's spinning less than 2700 which is nuts for a 5w.

I absolutely love the 3 max with lin-q purple. I have finally found a fairway that got my callaway 816 out of the bag. The max is long and straight and the feel is excellent

I found i hook the SIM Max way too much. I'm hoping by opening up the face like I do with my SIM Driver I will have more of a neutral flight.

How is the stock shaft with the SIM TI. I play a Diamana DF in my driver and it's perfect. I try and like things outside of the White Board profile but it never works and I go back to that profile.

I love the Sim Max driver so much that I bought the 3 Max without even hitting it.

I should’ve known better as I’m not hitting it anywhere near as solid as my M4 3HL. I’ll give it more range time before I offload it but it’s amazing how much a difference of 1.5 degrees of loft can make in playability.

I can't do any of the fixed hosel Taylormade stuff . . . way too shut and upright. I had a M2 fairway a few years ago for about 10 minutes until I couldn't stop hitting 40+ yard left going left hooks with it- even holding the club way open at address. M4 Tour . . . same story. Eventually wound up in M3 and later M5 - both turned open. Set a SIM Max 3 Wood down in the shop today (first time looking at one) and all I could see were monster hooks.

Sounds crazy, but the max D might have been the ticket. The draw versions look so open that you can lay them wide open and still hit dead straight.

I might try the max D out. I have the Sim max driver and 24* hybrid and I am looking for a 3 wood.

I thought the stock shaft was waaay too light weight in the stiff flex. I was inpatient and grabbed mine off the rack. I should have ordered the 80g weight and 1/2” long. Note: I’m referring to the 5 wood I purchased. Not a 3 wood.

I hit it at an outdoor fitting session and was underwhelmed In comparison to the Callaway Rogue I’m currently gaming. I was hoping that it may launch a bit higher with all that weight from the V sole on the bottom.

I ordered it from GlobalGolf and took advantage of the 150% trade in allowance for the sim max fairway.

i just watched a YouTube review and it looks closed compared to the Mavrik subzero they were testing it against. I hope it suits my eye with two notches open on the adjustment sleeve like my driver

Over cook a draw? Not a sim but I was drawing my F8+ too much. Had to aim right side to get a middle or left side. Problem was if I was a bit late I was off the right side of the planet.

used the have the same issue with my 400lst. Swapped the 400 for a 410+ and set it up flat. Started aiming at the middle. In a lot more fairways. So after a while I got the 410 three wood and set it up the same way.

if the sim has a flat setting like ping 410 series give it a try.

Had the fitting this morning and hooked everything with the Ventus blue. Tried the SIM Ti 5wd also opened up all the way with loft at 17* and Diamana shaft and that was a bit less left, but still no joy. Wasn’t getting enough spin despite a swing speed of 85. Other shafts weren’t available sadly.

G410s are one of the easiest to hit off the deck and with the adjustability hard to beat when fit?!
