Just got back from hitting the TP and HD side by side and theyre extremely close in feel and performance. Just as the charts say the HD has a slightly softer tip and its barely noticeable in the swing but it's there. If someone is deciding between the two I would say it comes down to feel and dispersion due to that feel in the swing and being person-dependent.

 

I hit my 3w with a TP 7 in it right after and it still performed as expected, same with the TP 8 in my '6w'. 

 

After hitting almost the full pyramid of balls (got a little DOMS from the gym today as well, of note) I pulled driver back out and hit a few with both shafts to simulate when i'm tired on the back 9 and the HD outperformed the TP in that regard. Was still hitting nice high draws with the HD and the TP was getting really low and cutty since I get really shallow when tired. Funny - because I moved from the XC to the TP for this reason but it seems the HD might be the ticket in driver.

 

Going to play a couple of 9 hole rounds this week/end and see how it goes.

Yes, I would say that the HD still has it over the Ventus. I tried the Ventus Blue TR in 6S and did not get along with it. Probably needed an X flex. Never tried it just when to the ^X in the HD. Problem solved

 

My favorite GD Shaft is still the GP. Hoping to try the new shaft once it is out.

I have the ad hd 7x in my tsi3 4 wood but think I'd like to find one to put in my ts3 3 wood as well.  On that note, thanks Matt, just found a 3 wood from a follow member.

 

We'll see how this 3 wood treats me, if well, I'll probably be looking for an AD HD 6x driver shaft with ping adapter.

Did you end up putting the HD in your three wood?

 

 I’m thinking about putting HD in TSR3 fairway but I am not sure if HD is a good contender for a fairway wood. Please advise.

yes I did.  Love it.  Replaced a ventus velocore red shaft with it and am very happy with it so far.
