Yeah I was kinda wondering the same thing if there were any trains nearby. I was waiting for that whistle.

I come off the golf course in happy mood after a crazy round. I see this video that the Q has selected to aid in his proclaiming victory. I really liked it. No I would have not guessed that they are from an eastern block country. I was thinking LA for sure. 
First that chic has some stage magic as a lead singer. I love her sway moves. Her voice reminds me of somebody's but I can't think of who. It's a soft and not offensive voice tiny red possesses . She is uber petite. It's a scorching red haired Pea! Lose the pasty white skin girl (hit the solarium and get some better color in that skin, then go back to your natural brunette hair for your best winning appearance I'd tell her. Lead slayer on guitar has solid energy but I feel his inner Slash is making him look like he is trying too hard. Bass player looks cool. Drummer gets a passing grade as well. I thank you Mr. Winner of the week Q man for that video treat. By far my favorite Deep Purple song and your Iron Cross band did a fine job covering it. I think I saw 9 nip slips.

She's even better in that video. She has to be 63 lbs. and wears size 0, XS petite for sure. Hot little swinging shoulders and hips lead singer gal. I like her. How would you know that she was that size commish? Oh because back in D.C. I had a part time job at the brand new Macy's. I was a personal shopper to the young business people of Northern Virginia. I just heard a few of you moan oh G8d no he wasn't. Yup, and I worked in the leather department sometimes too.  Not whips and chains and not couches and ottomans. No it was fine leather outerwear. Coats and jackets. Nordstrom was opening across the street and Macy's made a big push to polish up their personal service game.

Why for the first time in forever did I not hit a small bucket before my round? It was 55 degrees under cloudy skies with a max 10 mph wind out there. For the first time I spied deep green fairways. It was great to see that all the trees had visible buds. Today's round was at an old stand by local track that I know rather well. Tale of Two Nines To The MAX.

No I didn't hit a single driving range shot beforehand. I chose to putt for a good bit to get the speed. I hadn't played this course in two months.

I started out 

Par

Bogey

Double

Birdie

I hit shots bad. I hit shots ob. I did though hit one approach shot 190 yd. laser to a foot for a tap in birdie. But really I was all over the place. It got worse.

Then came 

Single 

Double

Double

Single

 

My putting had nothing to do with the poor play. 

I was confused and began tinkering with the swing out there. Nothing worked. I had to find a way to get back to that consistent ball striking I have been experiencing of late. Finally on the 9th fairway it came to me. I was not taking my fullest shoulder turn. I also had been falling short of taking my hands at the top to their out there and up there position before I start down with the club. And I wasn't what I call free waggling to be super lose when I start my takeaway. Well I started doing all of that. Things turned around. This was to be a very unique round. My round today was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. 

 

I made the turn at 10 over.

If I am any bit static at address I am sunk. I have to be tension free and waggling right before pulling the trigger. I have a lazy looking swing with very moderate tempo. Well like Monty. I found that free swing finally back on the 9th hole.  There was a complete turn around. I birdied 10 after knocking it stiff. I started knocking them all stiff from the fairway. I missed one fairway and one green on the back. I looked at birdie bids all over the place. I made 3 of them. I missed two others rather closely. Maybe that warm up putting session that kept me off the range did indeed provide dividends. I got par on the other 6 holes. I carded a crazy 3 under on the back. So 10 over going out, and 3 under coming in. A bumpy 79. 

I haven't had a round like that in over a year. I am glad my wild ride ended on high note. I felt pretty gassed at the end as I really ground at it to keep making pars and extend the streak of solid play. That was a round to remember. I was pretty stoked to have had the experience. Love the game.
