Cam is gonna be Cam, but I bet he's better this year than last, with literally no one to throw the ball to other than a running back LoL.. I predict a playoff berth and watch out Buffalo, Tua sucks so Miami isn't going anywhere, the WFT got the best QB in Miami. Jets will be better but their coaching is not up to Belichick's standards. Josh Allen will have to have another stellar year to keep Buffalo humming because the Patriots defense is solid.

I had a pretty dear flashback today. It's a rarity but today we had a high school match at work. I knew a few of the young lads. Three schools participated. I started the game on weekends with a neighbor friend and his dad my freshman year in H.S.  I practiced enough and made my way on to the golf team the next spring. I was not very good, but I had a so many damn good times after school being on the team playing matches. I was a member of the Panther Golf Team for 3 years.  These were the first chapters of my participation in this tremendous game. I remembered how I never felt more nervous before in life than on the first tee at a golf match. Well possibly going to 3rd base for the first time I was as nervous. 😯  Yes even though I went out in the cruddy golfers time slot (the 5th or 6th group back)  there still seemed to be a plentiful audience. My legs shook terribly and I had jittery hands every time. I would have a hard time pulling he club back as I seemed half frozen standing over the ball. When I did get that opening drive off it hardly ever found the short grass. Man that was pressure and I never could get comfortable with those opening tee shots. So I watched all the players tee off this afternoon. I saw the dudes going onto free college with golf scholarships lead the way, they all stripped hybrids down the middle. I saw the mid packers hit some pushes and some semi tugs. Those found the rough and were in still in play. Then came the last grouping's lads. There was where I flashed back to St. Louis in the late 70's. One dude cold topped his shot and it came to rest a mere 8 feet in front of him still on the tee box. There had to be 30 or more of us watching not including the team members and coaches. When I noticed no teammate or coach said any encouraging words I felt bad as hell for him. I would have at least as a teammate given him some pep. He rapidly hung his head in embarrassment and stepped aside to let the others hit. The Teen Topper had lead off. I was summonsing up the golf gods on his behalf. I prayed they assisted the kid to flush the second shot he faced. He grabbed an middle iron and got back up on the box and addressed the ball. He had pretty confident body language. Well his 80 % conviction in getting his swing right and my 20 % squeezing for him sent that well struck iron into center cut land. I might of been the only gallery member following his pure strike that let out something. Hell we all can use some encouragement sometimes. I had been him and wanted to contribute a boost. 

" nice work, way to regroup!" I hope his one fan's outburst contributed to more steady play for the rest of his round . I could so relate to his situation and performance it gave me goose bumps. I topped a few just like he did on the 1st tee, and also skanked some low sliced 60 yarders into the yards or whatever was on the direct right. I was so embarrassed. I knew just how he felt this Saint Paddy's day. It was terror for 15 minutes. So many memories of my first years in golf came back to me this afternoon. It was a cool treat watching the match. The medalist shot 2 under , second place par, and third was one over. 

 I was remembering my high school experiences 45 years ago this afternoon watching them. Fond memories for sure. Grow the game gentlemen.   It is important. 
 I'm an old golfer now but have truly cherished my four decades in the game. Thanks golf gods for helping the commish today.

Tuesday ROUND ReCAP.

 

Yesterday my buddy and I had the CC of AVL all to ourselves. That makes two weeks in a row. Unbelievable and such golf excellence to have the entire course just for you and your no. 1 golf bud.   It rained steadily all morning. It scared them off.  We went off after that at 2 pm. 

 

Bad news:

touch 3 putted 3 times.   They are the toughest greens I play as I keep telling you dudes,  

I laid the sod over two chips.  Hey I said it rained all morning.

I kept getting short with my swing once again and that caused a few hacked stinker shots.

Good news:

For the first time ever I took par on all 4 Par 3's on that course.   (two hard, two easy)

I holed a filthy bunker shot for my only birdie on the no. 2 handicap hole. ( sick juju on that bunker blast)  

I hit two more absolute laser approach hybrid shots to a few feet from a buck 80 plus. 

 

 79  once more.

And for the many years of doing this thread as soon as I put up a slight of Cam you sir have a quick reply with support and admiration for the useless diva. It's what we do around here, It's the doctoro and the commish show. I'll never understand yours and the many people of Charlotte's admiration still towards a player that is so far PAST his relevant days. But, all voices should be heard.

It’s not so much about Cam. Belichick is the architect driving this bus. I bet the Pats draft a top 4 Qb in the draft. I would not be surprised. But  Cam has a year under his belt and can mentor a young QB until he takes over. Cam only got a one year deal. Same as Fitz in DC. I doubt we are looking at Fitz as the answer. But veteran stability is key for teams with above average defenses and now bringing in some offensive weapons to help their QB be more productive. There is a chance they could trade up to get a QB if they like one enough.

I believe you can chose a replacement before that player tees off.  You'll have to hurry as 2;21 is the last times!

I know from playing some DFS in football they give you an option to make a replacement at the same salary. I say take a 0 not a -3  My vote would be 0 He didn't play so he didn't miss the cut technically speaking

That's a great idea. Also he could pick a 4th golfer (not the extra) to compete next week like we did if someone missed placing their NFL picks. I don't know just spit balling.
