First the good news. I got my only two birdies on the finishing holes which helped to lessen the carnage. Both putts were over 25 foot downhiller's with plenty of left to right break. I do not hit many putts that travel in such direction. I some how got the Toulon to cooperate on those birdie putts which saved a bit of cheese. Some late fireworks from the commish! The course is very difficult due to the narrow tree lined bending fairways. There are plentiful elevation challenges and uneven stances to experience. The greens are severely banked. I parked two shots OB. I made numerous doubles during my round. I seemingly could not hit any lasers at pins like I have been doing of late. I hit only 6 greens. But because of my late birdies I grabbed the silver medal. Now the entire foursome had issues yesterday. All of us are single digits. All of us shot in the 80's.

It was a good time with the boys even though I struggled out there. Nice to need the sunblock instead of the hand warmer packets.

Yes I believe there were two posts of yours recently that I immensely enjoyed.

One was bringing the petite fire cracker of Iron Cross to my attention, and Two the line..........." after seeing Big Steel, I got nothing" I hit the floor.

This is a sideshow, nothing but tournaments should be held in the spring leading up to the Masters. Sideshow Bob should MC, it's a clown show in the spring...after the Masters fine, but not until then.I know its about the pandemic, so I am just venting...don't mind me.  But it's "deeeploreable I tell you!"

WNC's Lady Cat's golf team tee'd off just before us. I was cool to see some of their shots from neighboring fairways all afternoon. There were baby turkeys with a protective father playing along side us on the back 9.  Grey skies with 61 degrees. One club wind. Severe elevation changes on this course. 

I told you yesterday everyone in the foursome had issues, today nobody did. It was an exceptional battle right from the start. 4 horse race. Race was tight until the very end. Fairways were much more generous. Great golf shots far more plentiful.

I was 4 over on the 7th tee and the other 3 were even. Looking back I pushed it a little hard. I once again did well on the finishing holes. I had my swing working all day. My birdie putts did not fall (well 1 did). I left a blast in a bunker taking two to get out, something I very rarely do. Mr. H. makes a fantastic eagle on 7. I then felt I had to produce birdies to hang. I didn't. I left feeling quite fine about my performance knowing that I didn't fade away. I battled until my last putt dropped. I gave it mucho. I had a swing that was so on, yet the scoring clubs did not produce. This afternoon our battle until the end was one of the most enjoyable rounds I have had in six weeks. I took the bronze today. So a silver and a bronze this week. That's not stellar, but it ain't the basement either. 😉     That game today with that group had energy. Gents, I was fortunate to ride that golf buzz today.    love the game.
