These days most major brands are selling 3 or 4 current iron model designs. From each brand, as the iron model head size become larger, shot distance is increased at the expense of carry distance consistency.

I know it's fighting your timeline, but you could always wait for the end of season CC fitting special and see what comes of that.   You might find that all you need is a tweak to what you've already got.

I may just pony up for club champion day and hit it all. The combo Apex set had me interested as does p790, but almost feel they go too far.

I couldn’t agree more with anemated and fairway14. I have never seen a club that touts distance that also gives you consistency. The better the player, generally the father they hit and the faster their speed. Sure there are some great players who don’t swing hard and are very consistent who play more distance oriented clubs. But they are rare and usually older. I hit a game improvement club about 30 yards carry further than my apex pros. But if I do my part I know how the pros will fly with every club. I can’t say the same for the other club. What matters for scoring is distance control more than inconsistent distance. Decide your priority: is saying you hit a 9i when all buddies hit a 7 or 8 more important than putting the ball in the right place?  Only you can answer that but you can guess my answer. 
 

i highly recommend you get a fitting. You didn’t mention launch angle but high 4s for spin is pretty low unless your launch is very high. Good luck.

Would recommend trying Srixon 585 or Mizuno HMB. The both really good distance and some good forgiveness. 
 

you won’t get the solid, one piece forging feel in either of them. But the direct alternatives (Mp 20 mmc and Srixon 785) are less forgiving for sure.

I have the i210's and could not be happier.

They look great at address and when hit right, they feel amazing.

I almost purchased the Apex Pro and even hit them about 5 yards longer than the i210. However, the shot dispersion with the i210 was much more consistent.

I would put those in your search as well.

If you want an extra 5 yards, maybe try a different golf ball?
