I’ve never hit a TM driver before and I’ve just ordered a mint M2 and was looking to pair with a Ventus Blue

I had that happen on my M2....I didn't even realize it was an issue.  I sold it to a friend and picked up a Ping G400Max.  The Ping is a great driver but I would say that 2016 M2 is one of the best TM drivers ever.

Even if I want to try something different, 9 times out of 10, I'll put the 16 M2 back in the bag before I play.

 

I also have a 17 M2. I like the angled white on the crown. But even with the same shaft, the sound, feel, and performance are all better with the 16.

Not the M2 but I went back to my 2017 M1 440.  That thing is a low spin beast

I feel like the issue with the 2016M2 is that it's so long that misdirected strikes / bad path used to get me in worse trouble.  At least that's my idiotic theory.  Never hit a driver longer, but for some reason I'm way more consistent with the newer stuff out there.

Well I ran with the OG Sim Max over the last year and I was definitely more consistent with it than the M2 but the M2 was definitely longer.  However, I think that I have found the right combo that will keep up with the distance of the M2 and still provide the accuracy and consistency, the SiM 2.  Tried the Stealth but it didn't give any more gains that what I was getting the the SiM 2 and I preferred the feel and looks of the SiM 2 over the Stealth.

I have a 1 handicap friend with a 2017 M1 and he just did a fitting with about 10 different new drivers with a professional fitter and none of them gave him numbers equal to or better than his 2017.

I have the 2017 M2 and a 2016 on the way. Will let you know how it goes. Anyone have a preferred shaft for their M2?  I have used the stock Fujikura 60 but prefer a matrix black tie in the 2017. Thinking about a ventus blue.

I would like to have a little input as well on the Ventus blue / M2 combo for the guys that have used it. Never thought about changing because my M2 w/ DI-6 always seemed great to me, but I need a shaft upgrade anyway and I’ve been hearin a lot about the Ventus in recent years. Also considering the Diamana TB. I’m definitely aware that the Ventus blue is not a typical “blueboard” shaft, but am still interested.

I played the 2017 M2 with a Ventus blue velo the last 2 years. Absolutely loved it! It was a huge upgrade over the stock shack I had in it before. I actually went into a fitting 2 years ago to change out of my M2, but the Ventus blue with it was better than anything else. I've now got a Stealth with a Ventus blue and really like it.

OG M2 user here... been a great driver, low spin, crazy long but lately mishits are going a little further sideways.... could be the swing lol.

 

I've done a few fittings and M2 spin was a little lower than the Sims/Sim2,  distance on relatively same swings the M2 still got me a few more yards, consistency was a little better with Sim/Sim2.  I've been struggling to get into a new driver but definitely going to give the Stealth a try.... but minimizing dispersion on mishits is what I'll be looking at.

 

Easy to say though that my family may have to bury me with the M2.

I have a '16 M2 like many here as well.  I really like it.  Long story, but got a free Callaway Mavrik 9* last year.  I like it, but I wasn't fit for it.  I don't play much these days (2.5 & 4.5 year old kids), so I was thinking I should unload one of these.  I lean towards the Cally and then when I'm playing more down the line get fit for something.

 

What am I missing out on with the M2 that the Mavrik has?

Im going back to the OGM2. Find one in nice condition. Had Ping G410+ and a Cobra LTDx but the feel and performance of the M2 is just better.
