Hope they have addressed their straps.  Love the overall vibe of Jones but the straps on these just don't work for too many people (including me).

Yeah - I replaced the straps on my rover with typical backpack Burton ULT straps. Huge difference

I wish they would bring back the cart bag. I walk with an electric cart, and it would work well on that.

Not only is the Trouper 2.0 included in the Black Friday Sale, but the sale has already started. Just bought a Mid-Town Gray.

According to the site they did upgrade the straps. Snagged a 2.0 mid town grey and a weekender duffle.

How big is the top on the Trouper compared to the Classic Stand? I have the Classic and love it but it’s just a touch small for a full set for me. 
 

Sent Jones an email last night about this, and their response is below. That being said, I ordered one of the new Trouper 2.0

They have the dimensions listed for the Classic Stand, but not the Troupers.
 

They were very prompt to respond though. I sent the email last night around midnight est and had a reply around noon, so 9 am pst.

I canceled my trouper 2.0 order. The massive cooler pocket combined with eliminating the pocket above that spot makes the pockets on this bag pretty limiting.

I agree. I think the previous version was better in terms of pockets and so I decided not to buy a new one.

Agree with both ryan84 and Caddie Master.  I was really looking forward to this bag once I saw it was coming out, but am underwhelmed with both the pocket layout and the color schemes.  The never-ending search for the perfect bag continues...

I'm thinking of purchasing the older version due to the concerns regarding the massive cooler pocket - this isn't something I'm looking for.  Anyone have any opinions on the previous year's version?

 

FWIW I mostly use a push cart.

I’m still considering this. From what I’ve read the only knock on the original is the straps, if you cart a lot should be a non issue. I’ve seen it in person and the pockets on the original are some of the best I’ve seen imo in terms of function and quantity.

I don’t have a problem with the large cooler. There are plenty of times I want to carry two waters. Nice to have the option. It still has six other pockets.

Where will you be putting balls or gloves? I don't really see a useable pocket for those.

I’m assuming/hoping balls can go in either vertical pocket directly left or right of the cooler. A glove can go in the larger pocket left of the cooler.

Yea I agree it's tough to tell. I felt like those side pockets would only hold ~6 balls but who knows how big they are.

Let us know your thoughts and even post some pics if you don't mind.  Since the pictures on the website (or at least when it was on the website) weren't great, I am really interested in seeing the bag.   Thanks!
