To me, full face grooves are the worst looking thing in golf right now. I’d switch brands before I had a set of those in the bag. Perfect case of beauty being in the eye of the beholder.

Cameron and vokey are more for the lower handicap players in mind. so you will find more traditional and less tech. That is why they have the hype because pros play them.

This. Especially for vokey- I don't think SC is way off with some of the stuff from the futura line etc.

I'd only consider full face on 60*+ as I use it mainly for flop shots to open up as wide as possible

I think an order like that still goes through WedgeWorks. I've ordered raw Vokeys through pro shops, and they still show up in a black WedgeWorks box. This is for SM8, not sure on SM9.

Titleist accounts. Not sure if it's any Titleist account but that's how us Canadians get them, since the Wedgeworks website only ship to the US.

My favorite wedge was a red saw 10 degree at 56 loft.  I hit it until it was CLEARLY illegal.

I scrolled through this thread quickly, but it didn't seem like anyone commented on the new design? I always hate when companies introduce something and step back... makes it feel like a gimmick... Vokey ditched the mini cavity for weight movement in SM9?

I think there is an embargo on them until feb, so probably not much that can be said until that's over

Specs are out. Definitely went back from the weight cavity, doesn't look like anything crazy innovative? Kinda felt like the SM8 felt like a step forward with new ideas

I dont understand why people expect any kind of massive innovation from a vokey wedge... there's plenty of game improvement wedges on the market already

Epic business model. Sell the basics at a premium price to those that prefer OTR, run a custom website and charge a SUPER premium to those that know enough, think they know enough or like pink shamrocks stamped on their wedges.

I dont see anyone complaining about muscle backs.. vokey is that category.. nothing drastic is going to change and he has the most grind options you can choose from and If you need it hand ground then boom that's your option

I agree with you. I'm not complaining at all. I've been a Vokey guy for the last 7-8 generations. He has all of the grinds, lofts and bounce options covered. Only thing I'd like to see is mix up that 3rd finish from release to release. Keep the chrome and black and experiment with a copper or something matte that looks like raw out of the package but doesn't rust. I'm not even mad that he changes extra for raw, capitalize on the Tour marketing and make your money.
