Been working on clubs for many, many years.  I did not know brass ferrules existed.  Just as a general interest question, do you play golf with these or just bench press them?

Convinced a machinist to try, and now he sells them on the bay, lol.

Those brass ferrules do look awfully good, as do the irons themselves, but I've had two hernias already so I think I'll pass, thanks😱

He also makes anodized aluminum ones, as well. I think those are only 4 grams.

That got me wondering how heavy ferrules are. I measured 2 I had lying around; one was small, modern ferrule and weighed a gram (my scale is only accurate to the nearest gram), and the other was a large ferrule from some old Macgregor irons of mine. That weighed 2 grams. So, the aluminium ferrules will make a bit of a difference, but nothing like the brass ones.

By the way, does that 14g weight on the shaft move the sweet spot on the irons slightly towards the heel? Or is it too little a weight to make a difference?

The other day I read that a scientist is claiming we could expect to find dinosaur bones on the moon, so aliens on Earth wouldn't surprise me at all😀

Actually, the reason for dinosaur bones on the moon kind of made sense.

So do you play heavier balls, too?

Holy mother, those are some crazy specs and I applaud you for trying something extreme and succeeding with it!

Serious question, do you start feeling the weight at the end of the round?
And do you have a deliberate tempo or a violent one?

They look friggin‘ awesome, don’t leave them in the trunk!

I want to say you need north of 20g+ to start shifting. I could be wrong, though. But i think that was a number Tom or Howard threw out there.

Only with the driver. I had a Rogue with 17g weight and then 20g hot melt. Moved to a SubZero and put 3/3g weights and 12g hot melt. Much better. But with the irons, no issue at all. In fact, many times, I'll go hit balls after a round.

Something I've found is that it's all about output. I was swinging 120% and would be gased by 16. Moved that to about 90% and now I cruise around 18, no problem.

I do think many golf fitting specs come attached with misconceptions. If I adhered to conventional standards, I'd be in a regular & lightweight shaft. I had Modus 3 105 stiff that I hooked into oblivion. And that's what I was "fit" to. Yet here I am w 130X, etc., playing the best golf of my life.

One thing I should note: I played baseball through college. Everytime I run across a baseball or hockey player, they fall in love w the weight of my clubs. I think there something to be said, also, about previous sports played.
