Should we hang up the white belt?

As far as I am concerned, white belts or trendy attire should NOT be seen during professional golf events.   These people are supposed to be professionals.

 

Next we'll see doofuses hanging the crotch of their pants down between their knees, tank tops and hoodies; following a reenactment of an intercity drug deal going down at the turn. lol

Its 2021 fellas, please donate your white belts to your nearest Goodwill.  White belts today is the equivalent to Lebron James white draft day suit.  If you don't know what that looks like then please google.  Just horrendous.

Not sure what a "slobone" is but that is a silly assertion...so should they also not tuck in their shirt as that will often accentuate the gut also? Just like no one actually cares what you shot...no one actually cares what you are wearing...especially once the tee goes into the ground.

If style was up to some of you guys, we would all be wearing pleated, khaki Dockers, a brown leather belt, and a white Ivy Crew polo.

True - except if he's got lousy taste, and or he's color-blind like a friend, he wouldn't know how much worse he looks.  😬    If my buddy's girlfriend didn't dress him, he'd be a rodeo clown on the golf course. 😛

All three of my sons are color blind thanks to a goofy gene their mom gave them. Every once in a while they come up with some interesting combinations.

idgaf what someone is wearing as long as they respect the course and the players, and aren’t holding people back too much. if you care about a belt or shoe color, lmao...i’m sure you’re real fun to play with.

Sometimes it does matter.  

 

You get invited to play a round at a private club.  Club's atmosphere is very conservative.  You show up in loudmouth pants and royal blue patent leather shoes.  Puts your host in a tricky spot.

 

So you show up in those dockers and white polo and you never raise an eyebrow.

 

If I was unsure what the atmosphere was I would always err on the side of conservative and neat.  If you show up and the course is a lot more laid back and you seem overdressed, untuck your shirt.

If you waist is longer around than your leg inseam is long, then yes, hang-up the white belts.

I would check with my host on any taboo attire before I showed up to play.

I'm 74 years old with a 32inch waist.  I own a white belt and wear it if I wear white shorts (don't own white pants) or light blue.  I could wear it every day at my club and no one would say a thing but I choose not to.
