Yep. If there is actually a measurement that it a game changer from what I believed the unit could do when I bought it. Was just asking/hoping someone had tested outdoors in the past month or so to see if there were any improvements with this update as my outdoor season has long ended.

I bought this one from Etsy, pretty well designed and it uses a Ryobi laser level. It also came pretty quick.

Has anybody ordered one in the last few months and gotten a shipping notification?

I ordered one on Amazon while it was posted briefly, and it says it should arrive Dec 10-14.  I'm really hoping I actually get it, but still hasn't been shipped.

My wife ordered one from TGW back in October hoping to have it for me for Christmas, no luck.  Emailed them and Garmin and we’re basically told keep waiting but no eta.   We canceled the order, garmins website still show 5-8 week wait, which is what it’s showed for probably 5-8 weeks already 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

Are most people using this to hit into a net? I have a backyard net and a level area to strike from so am looking at this as an option to at least get some reasonable data and keep it interesting for me just hitting into a net. At present, I can tell what is a good strike based on sound and feel but not sure if I am hooking/pulling the crap out of the ball. This is my current setup:

 

 

I assume as long as I have the correct distance from R10 to ball and then ball to net it should work out? Obviously would not leave it setup outside when not using it.

i swing into net and screen with R10 and it will display right/left shots. Like you said you will be able to tell when you hit them

This is my use case as well.  Unfortunately I only got a very small sample size with mine before I had to RMA it (still waiting for my replacement unit).  My opinion is that you can expect very accurate club and ball speed, launch characteristics and carry distances.  As long as your setup is aligned and leveled well, flight shape is relatively good but certainly not perfect or as reliable as the high dollar units.  The way I look at it (VERY generally speaking), is that you get mevo data and accuracy with a bonus of a pretty good shot shape visual (which my kids will love).

I primarily hit mine in my back yard net. Works just fine. I just have to be careful with lofts 54* and up for it might sail over the net lol

I just spoke with Garmin support.  They say they have not received any units in their warehouse to ship, so my expectation is nothing will be shipping for several weeks.

I'm very interested to see if that actually happens.  My understanding (unofficially) from Garmin Support is that they have no product, and won't until the next shipment comes from overseas in roughly a month from now.  But hey, even if Amazon was blowing smoke, getting 10% off is pretty nice!

Same.  I'm not overly optimistic, but considering I don't really have a use for it at the moment anyway in Ontario with 20" of snow, I don't mind.

I have one of these on order from Discount Dan's. I had waited for a while to pull the trigger on one of these PLMs, and settled on the R10 because of the club data it is supposed to be able to provide. I set up a net in my garage this winter to try to get myself to work on my swing regularly, as I'm planning to start working on some changes, and after a couple of times hitting balls into it, I'm really hoping these things start shipping soon, because I find it hard to get much out of practice without seeing much in the way of ballflight. It's not useless, because have a basic idea of whether I hit it solidly and online, but it would be nice to be getting some more feedback from the PLM.

Just ordered a Garmin R10 from Crutchfield and have the same notification many of the other resellers have which is that they are trying to source alternative chips for the units. Probably looking at Mid March 2022 before I have one on its way. Hopefully I don't change my mind between now and then. As of today, I have every intention of "reviewing" my experience with the R10 but who knows how I will feel two months from now, haha.

I joined a group on Facebook for r10 users, and quite a few people are saying some of their local shops have been or will be shortly receiving shipments.

it was probably already addressed here, but how do driver spin numbers compare to real life? I think i read that it's calculated and not measured.

also, it seems that my balls tend to measured as being pushes. i am wondering if it is because my floor is tiled to the left. i got the etsy stand with the ryobi levers and it still does that.

With latest update, it will MEASURE spin outdoors with no net (like range or course). All other situations it will calculate.

Got the same message, canceled my order.  Looks like everyone is saying late May.
