Quick question, for the BLP subscription model, if you let your subscription expire, do you lose all the add on courses you may have bought?  I read somewheree that this was the case and was curious if anyone knew for sure.  TIA.

Well you own the license but you have to be able to use FSX subscription to use the courses and can’t on basic. 
 

You should look into GSPro. It’s better in every way and courses are free.

FYI, Foresight Canada has GC3 + play available online. $7750 usd

Ended up pulling the trigger on a gc3 on Friday (via phone call to the sales team). Since then it’s been pretty much radio silence. I got an email that my DocuSign was completed, but nothing as far as a confirmation of the order and they have yet to charge my credit card. Is this typical? Or should I reach out and see what’s up?

GS Pro only works with FSX Pro. As long as you have that it works. I think it’s great. Playing any of their courses including Augusta is awesome

Ya pretty much.  Should probably see the charge in a day or two and then at some point in the next month you’ll receive a UPS shipment notification that you have a package coming…if you sign up for UPS account. You will possibly get your FSX code and login details when they ship your GC3.  Otherwise you won’t hear from them at all.

Is there a noticeable lag?  I assume it reads the data coming into FSX Pro and translates it to GS Pro?

I ordered mine on preorder with next day shipping on 12/22. The presale website said they would start shipping no later than 1/5. I got it on Christmas Eve only two days after my order. I didn’t even know it was coming. I did have to sign for it so I’m glad I happened to be home.

How do I set room dimensions in FSX2020?  My shot tracers start half way up the screen and my understanding is that the GC3 room dimensions are probably input incorrectly.

Should be a room config file you can run.  Input your dimensions and hit save.

Yes, but where is it located in the software. I can’t find it anywhere?

I think the lag will largely depend on your computer processing the data but I don’t notice one

It’s in the file folder.  On my computer it was in:

windows(C:)—>program files(x86)—>foresight sports experience components—>RoomConfigTool

It's not significantly worse than FSX unless you tell it to wait for club data. There's a new version of the interface coming out some time soon that won't involve FSX Pro at all but it will only support the GC3. Unfortunate for those of us with unlocked BLPs.

I just paid for it. Wanted torrey pines anyway so it seemed more like a $250 charge. Thinking back I think my salesman used “access to FSX Play”…anyway, I didn’t have anything in writing. Just led to believe it was no charge.

Anyone have issues keeping connectivity with the iPad when using with GC3?   Sometimes it disconnects with 5 minutes other times it stays connected for the entire session.

It could work on BLP, but the developer (not associated with GSPro) doesn't have any way of discerning the subscription status of the BLP and they're very concerned about getting too much attention from Foresight by allowing basic subscription users to use 3rd party software. The decision was just to not support BLP at all with the new interface although the existing interface still works.

Looks like only a handful could upgrade? Thats kinda weird, unless they're forecasting getting flooded with support issues. For those that have upgraded, any feedback or comments on how FSX Play is going?

How accurate is driver spin? I know carry distance is off for driver but is the spin accurate?

I’ve got about 7 rounds in and I haven’t opened 2020 since I got it except a range session where I wanted to see peak height and land angle which isn’t incorporated into Play yet.  The graphics are great but it’s very taxing on my RTX3060 and I have to run it in full performance vs full graphics.  I slightly prefer the physics in 2020 but since switching to full performance it’s much smoother than it was at the start.  Worth the upgrade in my opinion but unless you really want Torrey pines or would take advantage of the graphics with a good computer and projector setup you could probably skip it until they built it out a bit more.

It’s the unit I trusted when I brought it to a indoor Taylor made demo with trackman.
