Bushnell Launch Pro Device with Foresight

I’m assuming that means it’s limited to only iPad on basic.  I think the way many people project is usb-> hdmi like someone suggested.

It does work on PC even with a basic subscription, it just changes so that the 3D range is locked out; I tested it out when my trial gold subscription expired before I went for the full unlock. That graphic seems to be more of an issue of Bushnell not actually knowing what they're selling.

New firmware.  1.2.8.4 installed.  What can I expect?

Bad things.  I updated this afternoon (GC3) and the unit froze twice.  It kept cycling the screens from my prev shot and I can use the menu but it would never ask me to place the ball in the hitting zone again.  I haven't figured out how to rollback yet either.  Very annoying.

Full unlock worth it? I’m planning on doing that when I get back from Dubai

I had this issue (not asking to put the ball in the hitting zone) before the update. I would stand with my leg directly in front of the cameras, the green indicator light would flash and then I could put a ball down and be good to go.

I stumbled across that trick and I’ve used it a handful of times.

I’ve also had it become unresponsive to a ball and blocking the cameras for a short time didn’t work.  I just shut it off and turned it on and it worked again after reconnecting.  Have noticed it a couple times after using the unit for an extended period of time.  It’s working pretty well for me right now so I may hold off on the firmware update for a little bit.  I wish they would share what they “fixed” with each update.

I think so, I was a bit miffed about FSX Play not being available yet but honestly after seeing some playthrough videos from FSX Play I can't say I really care anymore. If the GC3 had been more easily available early on I would have just went that route but unlocked BLP seemed to make more sense at the time. In any case the whole subscription model is not something I was really a fan of so unlocking the BLP was always the plan.

I’m in the same camp! 👍

Kind of in the opposite camp on the subscription model. My neighbor and good friend want to upgrade from optishot and prob going the BLP and gold subscription route. We live in neighborhood with bunch of close friends who like to golf. If he buys the 3k monitor, we would help contribute to the $800/year. Figured it takes 5 years to break even and by then I’m sure we will have way more probably better options on the market. Probably take minimal loss on the device itself.

Is somebody able to explain the purpose of of the alignment stick? Not sure if it’s used for this, but I have to frequently move the unit for left/right hitters and further back to allow for a driver swing in the garage. What happens if the unit isn’t sitting  perpendicular to the ball? Will it give off readings? Can the alignment stick help with this?

Just need to lay it down in the typical window for ball placement on your target line and it will adjust to exactly where you are targeting.  I find with a little practice it’s fairly easy to get within about a degree and typically don’t bother with the stick.

Ahh right. For some reason I was thinking the unit would calibrate to where the stick was pointing. It’s the other way around. You should move the unit based on where the stick is pointing.

No you can aim the stick up to 10° different than the unit.  It will align to wherever the stick is pointing.  Or you can move the unit to the stick.  Either way.

Did anyone see this or solve  this?
Connect Launch monitor to internet.

Open FSXLive on IPad, Connect IPAD to BLM via WiFi, says it is connected

Use Trial Subscription selection (30 day trial).  Window pops up to log into FSX live

Input password for FSXLive, reponse is Password Not Matching(or the player creation event failed

Ok, I dot an email from Bushnell and all it said was to plug BLP into router(obviously using cat wire). That’s all it said. So, I plug my BLP into my router and checked it the next day and the barometer went from reading -347 to 45. I’d call that a drastic change. Also, seems to have made my yardage more accurate. I was constantly hookielau as fsx2020 likes to say. Today, pretty straight.

hope this helps you other with barometer issues.

Support told me the same thing for the barometer. I plugged in and am waiting. It was reading -150 when I’m actually at 170.

More troubling is the pitch and roll being off. Is anyone seeing that? That I assume will affect launch angle. Support is ignoring that in my communication with them.

Does anyone use the BLP with the “Basic” subscription, hitting into a net and using iPad?  Guess I’m looking for any reviews for this plain setup.  It seems like most posts are related to unlocked or Gold subscriptions.  Thanks for any insight.

I have the Gold but use essentially the Basic subscription when at the range with the iPad.

I love it.

Great data, and saves everything after the session.
