This chart suggests that FSX Play is now included with Unlocked version (which is, as of today, less than before at $3,499). Anyone that unlocked before today at $3,999 must now pay another $500 to gain access to FSX Play, according to the folks above. And the hardware cost is up $1,000 as of today. Those that purchased the BLP before today and unlock today or later will get the lowest total price with FSX Play included ($6,500). That is, until Bushnell/Foresight inevitably change things again in 6 months.

Unless I’m mistaken, it looks like the Basic plan now  includes all ball and club data at this new $249 price.  I like that model for those that don’t want the simulation and don’t want to buy a PC.   However, raising the BLP unit $1000 is very disappointing.  Hopefully they have a sale soon.

It depends. I purchased the BLP at 3k plus tax. Got the unlock during the special at 3k with no tax.

when did they raise the price on the BLP? i wasn't even planning on buying one but freaked out when i saw the price increase and bought one for $3k from TGW before they raised the price.

Shoot. I was considering this but the extra $1000 is tough to swallow. I took the plunge on tgw too. Getting ~$45 from rakuten, I'll take it. Most expensive golf purchase I've ever made.

I like the fact they threw in the extra data for the basic level, but now for unlimited its no different than the GC3. I was contemplating the 3k plus one year gold just to get into the game, but now its just making me think to get the GC3 and be done with it.

If the hardware is the same for the BLP and GC3 and the BLP just went up in price……

So for those that have installed FSX Play, are you seeing a drastic difference in your computer's resources to run the program?  Would love hear some opinions on the graphics quality on a projected image vs. FSX 2020.

The original BLP pricing structure didn't make sense to me, typically in that model there is some upside for the OEM, but there really wasn't since the final price was the same (or less) for the BLP+unlock. The price change makes sense, its still low enough to get the very cost conscious user in the door, but since it's no longer a cost neutral upgrade, it will push some just to get the full GC3 from the start.

I agree, but after some thinking, it makes sense to launch (pun intended) the new brand off the ground and get some brand excitement out there. I thought it was sooner or later they would catch up in pricing seeing that the products (unlocked) are now identical.  I think they did listen to the entry level criticism of players that wanted an on-range/course product only and put in the extra data elements. From what I read, the basic gave you the first screen of data on the physical unit and then cycled to the next screen of empty data. Of course progress comes with a price!

So the 7499 for GC3 and Essentials Plus Bundle and add 500 for a Net Return and return matt with free shipping. I had to bite after seeing that pop up on my screen. 

 

I didn't get the gaming PC but does anyone have suggestions for a really good laptop?

Yeah that is pretty good indeed. They are also giving away a whole GC3 if you get one of the top of the line quad packages. LM must be softening faster than the equity markets

Just the GPU…runs about 7gb of Ram as well so if you only have 8gb it might be a bit tight.  The desktop rtx 3060 I have struggles at full graphics in 4k.  I have to run it in full performance.  
 

Graphics are night and day vs FSX 2020.  And they seem to be improving the efficiency a bit with each PLAY update.

I have a 2060 super and core i7 with 16gb of ram and I can only run on performance mode. Still get blur time to time. They have a long way to go… and still a main reason why all the competitions are still on fsx2020.

I can confirm the latest firmware made my GC3 much more stable. I was having a few issues that would pop up with error codes, but with the new release, I had absolutely no issues whatsoever.

I'm getting some "generous" AoA numbers with my long irons in particular.  Last night while playing I was seeing 8 degrees down with my 3 iron.  I'm not that steep.  Prior to the latest firmware I would see 1.5-2.0 degrees down which is much more realistic.

I love how calm everybody is about the fact that bushnell just raised the price of their 1 year old simulator by 33%.  That's F****** ridiculous.  

 

With a potential recession forthcoming AND multiple competitors joining this market in the coming years, they are trying to make as much money as possible right now.

Basically just added in the cost of FSX Play ($500) and dropped the gold sub rates $100/year.  5 year cost is still the same as GC3.

I'm going to continue to hold off until the BLP is raised to $5k for the unit, then I'll grab one.  Don't want to pay $3k or $4k, just feels cheap.
