P3P I know you're about to partake in some extra circular actives that have called your attention elsewhere. And so in light of this I still want to give you a fair chance with the spread and totals for Week ! I will try and post the Vegas numbers as soon as they go up. The only issue with this is that sometimes they don't go up until after the 53 man roster cuts or the week of the first regular season game. If this happens and you've have already entered the no Wi-Fi zone just go ahead and give me 3 teams you feel will win straight up no numbers. Week 1 schedule is posted below for you. Let me know if you have any questions about this or if there might be an easier way.

NFL on Twitter: "Are you ready for Week 1?! Week 1 tickets are now available! https://t.co/mjp9JMwBpM 📺: #NFLScheduleRelease -- TONIGHT (8pm ET) on @nflnetwork… https://t.co/c4zSYB89WZ"

Oh heck no. I don’t pick losers, spread or not, I see 51-0 this year.

So there's a member who trusts me exclusively to watch over his numerous exotic automobiles when he's playing golf or going to the pool with his wife. He always tells me take them for a spin. No I don't go downtown Asheville being a pretend Magnum PI 😄, but I do take them for a law obiding cruise around the neighborhood. It's kind of intimidating being at the controls of a Ferrari, but exhilarating none the less.

This thread was bumping tonight.  Just like old times.

Real regular season NFL Football action is almost here fellas and that probably had something to do with it.

The band is having a rehearsal gig  getting ready for our next Tour and everyone is jazzed.

Damn straight !! 💥

No, no Mich Commish. I am sorry to say that the multiplayer picks that I posted such as the prime time picks the giving the dog a bone, and the pair em and square em picks can only be picked independently from each other. In short no combos, no mashing together multiplayers to create super multiplayers. I know since you lived in Vegas you're always looking to roll the ol' dice at every given chance but not this time.

And for the audience to see behind the curtain. Yes indeed it was the mich commish's idea for the pair em and square em 4to be incorperated into the this year's season. Great idea from a great commissioner.

Roger that. All the special plays are used in singular fashion and can't be combined or bundled.

My Vegas days were fun of course G1, but far more wilder times just letting it ride were had during my years in D.C.

😉

Congratulations to Lawrence Largent for winning the 2021 Men's Club Championship! Largent navigated very challenging course conditions to clip runner-up Graylyn Loomis by two shots.

The Lawrence connection has to help propel me to the winner's circle today now doesn't it?  My home track of Broadmoor is the location for this mornings round. Foursome is no.1 golf buddy, hole out eagle Steve, zippy New York Chris, and the old blonde guy. Going in confident.

Against a somber backdrop, the ball was put in play.  On Friday one of our very best suffered a massive heart attack doing what he loves most... golfing and partying.  Fortunately there was an ER nurse nearby who got to the CPR, brought back his pulse and breathing, and off he went to the hospital where surgery was performed and he was put into a medical coma for 48 hours.  The prognosis looks good for a full recovery, but the fact one of our regulars wasn't with us made it an empty day.  We tee'd off early which meant the beverage cart wasn't out yet, and this also severely impacted my game.  I finally hit a good shot on a long par 3 and was in the cabbage, but only about 15' from the pin, unwittingly I tried to pull off the most difficult shot known to golf.

I opened up the blade more than I am comfortable with to hit the ball straight up, fly 8' and then roll down the hill into the hole for the accolades I certainly earned and all the junk points that would come with it.  I took a nice easy swing, and in typical P3P fashion on those super shorties I slid my body through it just right and caught quite a bit of hosel, and little to no blade to speak of.  I watched that ball squirt right at a very slow pace spinning sideways as it trundled about 50' away from the pin and off the green.  3 shots later I heard the ball hit the cup and there I was with a smooth double from 15'.  I made the turn at 6 over because, well, I am a player.  And try as I might, I find the hosel play to be the most difficult shot to control.  When you are giving 8 strokes to the other team, rarely does the double garner any points, and today this was to be the case as well.

At the turn we decided to celebrate our buddy and ran into the bar to get our supplies which we knew he would approve of, even if he couldn't be with us.  A couple of birdies later and I snuck in with a -1 on the back for a 5 over day.  There was a rare sighting of the Dodo, we thought it was an extinct species, but just like Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern in Jurassic Park, it was there again.  The green is very large, and our opponent had the greenie, and his first putt was so bad he left himself the opportunity to get another junk point, which he promptly hammered into the back of the cup.  This simply is not common, so we were going into 18 in a dogfight until a miscalculated swing by my opponent who saw his ball fly deep into the range, and the day was done.  As many laughs as possible, as sad as possible at the same time, and tomorrow the pick em.

Fine post. Was it the toughest green side touch shot you faced this season? Doubles suck. Happy to tell you P3P that today I avoided one. 🙂

And it was down more booze in honor of the fallen soldier was it? Oh my. That episode certainly would cast a dark cloud over the entire round. Nice turnaround for you though. Maybe it was the extra pops for the dude that left in an ambulance that fueled the steadiness. I like those rounds where you leak oil on the front and then steady the ship and make nice steady pars one after another all along the back 9.

How much jack was won or lost? Or did you cancel the bets due to the solemn tone that took over?

Taking your sticks across the state line possibly this week? Or just the rod, reel, and creel?

Or will you be in a guest room way up high in a casino hotel in Vegas stuck in the john for 3 hours with the drips after eating Emeril Lagasse's hottest creole stew?

So how many times am I going to plan on playing my favorite course and have something come up and cancel golf at CCA? This might be the 6th. ugh

50/50 shot at getting in our round tomorrow afternoon as Ida is in the neighborhood.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION IDA is moving northeast through the Deep South. The heart of the remnant system will move into Middle Tennessee on Tuesday, then just north of WNC on Wednesday. Rain and thunderstorm chances increase Tuesday afternoon, with some strong to severe storms producing downpours, flash flooding, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes.

I will tell how it played out today at Broadmoor tomorrow morning.

My no ganja but drink a few suds as a replacement experiment has been assisting in lower scores I think.

Drank a bunch of the liquid on the left all day, and also had 2 cans of my favorite mexican beer.

Drunk, broke, fat, and stupid is no way to live life.  But 50+ years ago my die was cast and I have had to make do with what I have.  On the other hand, the Mrs chose this disaster and I find myself trying to make up for that big con-job I pulled off so long ago.  Every 3 years or so I try to make my short-givings up in the way of an "apology trip."  By my definition it is a family trip.  A golf trip is a group of same sexed travelers playing golf each day and then whiling away the time in the pubs discussing the good, bad and the ugly.  Apparently to my wife, this is a golf trip, but I am only playing 4 days of the 9, so I prefer the term, "golf-y" trip.

So let's start with the Cowboys and Rocket Ismail, with whom Jerry fell in love pre-facelift.  Another ND bust, and the beginning of the end of the Cowboys, Rocket was probably on the field for their playoff win which is saying something.  They are playing the SB champs and the GOAT, and the early line is they are getting 7.5 points.  One thing I know about the Cowboys, they are either 13-3 or 3-13, so which way am I going to lean?  Zeke with be fresh, but ultimately, Dak will have to throw every once in a while, so I am leaning they go 3-14 this year with the extra game, but they will be able to keep this within the projected spread, so give me the Cowboys to cover.

These two weren't ND busts, but they certainly didn't win much, which is odd because they were told to "Just win, baby."  I did like Dave Casper and always thought Tim Brown was sort of over-rated so I am not sure here, but Raiders/Rams maybe in the new Allegiant Field and the Ravens rolling through with no JK Dobbins could be just what the Raiders need to get their first of 5 wins for the season.  I think Sean McVay has bought the hype about how good he is, and the Raiders come out and just put the boots to em.  Give me the Raiders to cover the spread as well.

Lastly, Chase Claypool apparently likes TikTok and fighting according to sources, but will this ND grad live up the "Fighting Irish" name against anyone not named Minkah?  I don't know, but I do know they are in for a tough game.  Big Ben usually comes out pretty good before everyone figures out he is going to throw it within 1.6 seconds and the Buffalo guy still likes breaded wings even after being in Buffalo for a couple of years, so I like the Steelers to cover as well.  I think we will see a full compliment of Najee left, right, center, screens, and wheels.

I think we are just going to sneak into the Emerald Isle before the EU shuts her down.  So pour me a Guinness, get me driving on the wrong side of the road, and reflecting on Thin Lizzy because I will be playing Lahinch, Ballybunion, Waterville, and Old Head (the last two with the Mrs),  Leaving in a day or so, and ready for this one, it has been a while, that's for sure, and also why I was saying I just wanted people to get the vaccine so my plans weren't thwarted.  The boys knew this MT kid was coming.

I will concur with touch that it would be nice if the New Commish puts down everything together in one post. Then this old guy can write it down and figure out what he wants to do. Thanks Commish II.

What's the over/under on touch deleting posts this coming season?

Cam was a serious surprise, but as the beat writer said Coach Hoodie probably didn't want Jones having Cam look over his shoulder. It's all squarely on Jones now. He looked real good in preseason, but that's preseason.

Squish the Fish first game at home.

The over/under for my deleted posts over the course of the season has been set at 88 naturally. That's an average of about 5 per week. Seems accurate.

Sometimes I put up stuff at night while being slightly inebriated from combined substances and then the next morning see them not with buzzed vision and reread them with a somewhat clearer mind, this causes my adjustments.

Q you can relate as it is comparable to a female being an 8 at last call who leaves with you, but is clearly a 3 at best the next morning. 😀
