What wedge drove you away from Vokey?

I've come to realize that if the setup, bounce and grind matches my swing then I don't care who makes the wedge.  Once I stumbled on an old Callaway JAWS CC wedge with a great C-grind with a blunted leading edge, I haven't looked at any other wedges.  Now once my current set and backup are done and if I can't find another set then I'll start looking.  Vokey's will probably be near the bottom because I feel they are overpriced.

I am about to make the switch to the TM MG3 wedges from Vokey SM7. 

 

I prefer the straight leading edge & more square toe shape of the MG3 to the "roundish" shape of Vokey and other wedges. 

 

I should add i'm starting off by replacing my 52* first as its the oldest. SM6

In the higher lofts, especially for the short shots, the PM Grind wedges have been way better for me than any other wedges I've tried (and I've tried a lot of them).  For the lower lofted wedges (48/50/52 degrees), I could probably use any brand and get similar results.

SM4 ...rock hard. SM5 even harder feel. SM6 awful. Haven't hit an SM7 or SM8.

Callaway Vintage forged wedges (like these in the picture).  I tried SM6 wedges but that was very, very short lived.  I guess I prefer forged wedges over cast.

Cleveland Zipcore for me switch from SM7. Softer feel and higher spin but still prefer vokey for a full swing shot

I used Vokey for quite some time. Too be fair I was a bit of a Titleist fanboy when I was younger. Grew up a bit lol and realized there were better options. Moved over to the MG4 and have had Callaway wedges since. I get much better spin, able to hit the one hop and stop shot much easier which I love to play, I also prefer the shaping more than the Vokey. I don’t like the Vokey shape and how it’s more pear shaped. All personal preference but that’s my 2 Cents.

I always  played Cleveland in the past.

I've tried  all brands, and the shots were the same.

Last year I hit some Callaway MD5 wedges.

All my shots were fantastic. With these wedges I was hitting shots that were beyond my capability.

 I order  a 50 & 56, and bow my short game has improved a bunch.

The Corey's never released right for me.

My Son plays and loves the Vokeys, but they aren't  right for me.

Went from SM5 to Mizuno S5, years ago, obviously, never went back.  Played Mizuno S18, SCOR, Ping Glide 2.0, Bettinardi H2, and Cleveland Zipcore since.  Slate Blue SM7 had me tempted, but nah.
