Putter issues or just an excuse to buy a new one lol

Has anyone ran into a putter feeling dead all of a sudden? I feel like my old anser 2 with a sound slot has no pop anymore. I know it might sound crazy but I feel like I have to swing harder than I use to. I have been leaving a ton of putts short even though it feels like I hit the sweet spot and my tempo was good. I have a feeling it's just in my head hahaha.

Most likely in your head. Go out and treat yourself to a new putter....you are on wrx afterall.

I doubt the putter is dead or suffering metal fatigue unless you've hit millions of putts with it. 

 

But just use this as an excuse to buy a new putter cause why not.

Good excuse to find a modern version of that putter. Order up a custom job with sound slot and all with a slightly heavier weight.

2.  You should buy a new putter or three just in case

First question .... No.

You want a new putter so you're head is playing tricks on you.  We all understand where you're coming from.  😆

Before COVID i owned 20 putters...now I own 30.....someone has to find a cure!

I experienced something similar with a putter, just no matter how hard I hit it seemed to always be short of what I expected it to be. Now, I had the exact same putter as a backup because I liked it so much and went to the back up and had no issues. Went to my club builder to check specs and my gamer just through use (maybe jostling/throwing into trunk) was at -2* of loft vs 4* standard. Got it bent back and everything was good again.

I need to get that loft checked out then. I liked the putter a lot, it was just weird how it just felt different all of a sudden.

You using a different ball than you used to?  Different balls react and sound differently.
