That is correct. Callaway did away with all of the sliding weights in the new line

Clarification - Mavrik and it’s predecessor Rogue didn’t offer a model with a sliding weight so there was nothing to get rid of. The sliding weight was offered in GBB Epic (2017) models and later in Epic (2019) and epic flash (2021) models which still is a current top model offering for 2022

I generally love how these look, but the orange is super meh.  Looks like the last two iterations—Rogue and Mavrik—had a baby.  I’m sure the orange will be a customizable option, which takes care of that, but not really sure I understand this color choice for stock options.

At this point I'm convinced they are intentionally picking garish colors so that (1) it will be obvious that is their driver when you see pros playing it on TV and (2) they can make more money off of the color customization options.

The color is actually gold. Aren’t most companies except maybe Titleist and Ping adding color to their clubs to stand out? It’s hardly new. If the stock color offends you, you’ll probably find the upcharge to customize to a color of your choosing a solid value.

I don’t mind color.  I just don’t like the chosen color.

 

And I’m well aware of the Customs option, as I’m playing a custom Speed…

Anyone know the story around the cut away channel down the middle?  Kind of reminds me of the old Nike driver (was it the Vapour?).  Send to be the opposite direction to TM and Cobra so must be a tech story there.

Purely a guess, since the ST in the Rogue ST name stands for Speed Tuned, I would think the channel cut away is about aerodynamics in some way.
