I'd regrip every single club I own with those OGs in a second. 

They did do a remake on them a few years back. Evidently they did not sell many because after a while they were on clearance with big operators like Maltby and Diamond Tour. Personally I never liked them in those days my grip of choice was the GP Crown Cord. This is going to make you cry--- Back when I first started messing with clubs around 1970 or so my old man had a local source for GP grips. Our cost on the regular Green and Black Victory grips was around .50 each and if I recall correctly the cords were around .75 each. The Crown cords were expensive at .85 each. In another post I alluded to the fact the White GP Pro Only with the black alignment stripe were .50 also and seemed more popular with our weekend players. I did more White GPs at the time than any other grip

You may check around on E Bay for some but I would be careful. It has been almost 5 years since those were readily available and it depends on how they were stored.

Speaking of hammered irons, these are crackers. I still prefer Chad Campbell's raw Nike Pro Combo set, but these Adams irons are brilliant. Worked upon to get them exactly right for his eye, and then run into the ground. Rare to see bags like this nowadays, which is a great pity.

Faldo's first Open-winning bag. Dabs of lead tape for fine-tuning. MacGregor M85. A TM Tour Spoon. 1-PW in blank Mizuno TP-9s, a Wilson JPII sand wedge, and a beryllium Pal 2. Maxfli HT90 ball, too. Proper gear.

That is a scary 1-iron ! How different is Faldo’s Mizuno TP-9, vs Tiger’s Mizuno (MS-14?) w.r.t. “butter-knife-ness” and  no offset & thin topline?

All very similar.

 

Like everybody growing up playing long irons like that, I look at them now and ask myself how I ever managed to hit them so well. You never really thought about it as a youngster with a balata ball on the deck. You just hit it and it went high and handsome...

 

I've still got my old MP14 2-iron, my TP-11 2-iron, a Nike blade 2-iron and several 681 long irons, as well as my old TP-9 1- and 2-irons, a la that set. Honestly, I think I'd struggle with them now. I've also got an old MacGregor Muirfield 1-iron that I struggled to hit consistently well even when I was younger. The old Eye 2 1-irons I've got look a bit more friendly, but the modern ball sadly makes them all curiosities now; not viable clubs for anything other than links golf.
