Rhoback thoughts?

One more to add might be minor for some.

I've had the old ladies at my office compliment a couple of my Rhoback polos lately haha. I like that I can wear them golfing or to work. Tucked or untucked. A ton of the golf shirts I have owned before were really long and had to be tucked.

I also wear my Rhoback gear to work. Polos and 1/4 zips.

FMM15 gets 15% off. Posting here for people to use if the regular prices are too steep.

Based on this thread, I ordered a bunch of stuff hoping that it would be like GFore: expensive but super high quality. The stuff I bought didn't quite measure up. I thought it was mostly ok, but everything went back except the hat. Awesome hat.

Their people are super super nice. I just wish I liked their stuff more.

That's pretty surprising to hear. What didn't you like about them? Which brands do you prefer?

I found their quality to be about the same as what I would consider their competition (Peter Millar, Johnnie O, ect.), but Rhoback tends to run about 10% cheaper.

Sadly, the days of decent $40-50 golf shirts are long gone. Unless you opt for brands like Nike and Adidas, and don't even get me started on the quality of those brands 🙄.

Their polos are definitely cut more slim than some Peter Millar and the regular FJ polos. I would say the Rhoback polos are right between the FJ regular and athletic fit.

I just got my first polo. I'm a fat guy and based on some of these comments I went with a 3XL. All of my stuff other than one 3X GFore shirt are 2X. Greyson, Peter Millar, RLX etc. The Rhoback is a little big but not so much to look sloppy. I'm guessing the 2X would have been a little bit snug maybe, and when you're built like me a little bit big is better than a little bit small

Plus Peter Millar jacked up their prices considerably for 2022. Usually only a few of their polos would be more than $98 list price, now it seems like the majority of them are $110, with only a few at $98, and some even over $110. Unless you have money to burn, you have to wait for the sale they have twice per year or so, and pounce on their website that day as everything goes really fast.

Stuff is pricey. I like it but it is quite expensive for polos, 1/4 zips, hoodies.

I want them all though.

Got my first Rhoback polo over the weekend, and it's great in every way except for one. The collar might be the best I've seen on a polo, it has a good amount of stretch, and it's a good weight (not to thick or too thin).

However, the one big negative in my mind... it's a bit on the short side.

I get that their whole thing is that it is "designed to transition seamlessly from one activity to the next", but it is a good 2 inches shorter than any of my PM or Johnnie-O polos. I found myself having to re-tuck during the round which is always annoying.

That's interesting.  I have maybe 15 of their polos and have never had that problem.  They are just as long as the few PM polos I have.

Maybe the color/model I got was old stock? I saw one of the other reviews on the specific shirt I purchased say something along the lines of "great but doesn't stretch as much as my other Rhoback shirts".

Either way I can 100% confirm it's 1.5-2 inches shorter than my PM shirts. I held it up side by side to compare. Not a total deal breaker, but definitely something I'll consider for future purchases.

They have a handful of polos that don't have their standard material composition (92% polyester, 8% spandex).  I haven't tried any of them but it seems like many of them have a few reviews mentioning them being smaller/tighter than expected.

The hoodies are pretty snug. I had a large and it fits very tightly which is good if it is a layer under other layers but feels silly to wear something that tight on its own. For the record, I am 5'11" - 190 lbs and a lifelong weight lifter but not "huge" by any means.

I'm 6'1" 207 lbs. Been lifting weights for close to 30 years now. Athletic, not huge (anymore), size 35 to 36 waist.

Would a L or XL be a better fit for the Q-Zip or hoodie?

Thanks.

I have this hoodie in a L:

If I was any bigger (you are bigger), I would go XL in this. Not sure if the Q Zips run the same sizing-wise.

Is Rhoback sizing normal compared to FJ? I'm a large in under armour polos and a small in FJ.

I'd say Rhoback is much more true to size. I wear a medium in Rhoback, Nike, Peter Millar (crown crafted fit), and most other brands.

I've never actually purchased a FJ shirt. Primarily because I don't want to look like a 12 year old who borrowed his dad's "big boy clothes". Regular fit FJ is basically a tent with a collar 🤣.

Rhoback has a lot of polos that are "state" themed for sale now....Texas, Georgia, California, etc. Am I the only one who thinks it would be potentially awkward to wear one of these for a state they have no affiliation with? "Cool Texas polo, where you from in Texas? Uhh....I'm not from Texas...I just thought it was a good looking shirt."
