Tensei Pro Orange 1K Release Date?

Order placed today for a TPO 1k 70TX. While I’m absolutely loving my Ventus TR for dispersion, I feel it’s a little lower in ball speed for me. I’m hoping for similar dispersion and a increase in speed. I’ll find out next weekend!

I also have the Ventus TR in the bag, but put an order in for TPO1k today. 
 

It’s going into a g400 lst head, Ventus is in a  TSI3. So not apples to apples, but both will be similar builds with 60s shafts.

Quick update. Was ready to put the TPO1K and Rogue ST TD on BST this weekend.  For whatever reason just couldn't get it synched up. I thought about it for a while and realized that during each of my sessions I was switching between the TPO1K/ST combo and my Accra RPG/425LST gamer.  Decided to take it for one more Trackman session tonight before a quick 9 this weekend and focus just on the TPO/ST. Finished with a speed session and hit personal bests in club speed and ball speed (122.4/176). Crossing my fingers it shows up on the course.

Ventus TR is stuck in the bag. I have a TPO 1k 70TX on BST if anyone is interested.

I was just more consistent with the TR. better dispersion. TPO may have been a touch faster but not as accurate for me

Was able to game mine for the first time today. It was auto pilot. Great feel and might be a little longer distance wise than the AV Orange for me.

Just bought a TPO1K off the forums that is tipped 1/2 inch and placing in a 9.5 STZ220 head. Looking forward to getting this on the course next weekend. Hoping to hit some low spin bombs. 

 

Wondering what swing weight I should shoot for? My understanding is the counterbalance brings down the swing weight. Guess i'm thinking of around D0-D2 SW? I know that can be fairly light.

 

What SW are people gaming right now with the TPO1K?

My shaft is due in next week, but D3 is what I shoot for with any driver shaft. If the counter balance takes it to D1, I’ll add the weight back in to bring it up.

On order now (from DDan's). Tensei CK Pro Blue Shaft, 60g. Put in a Titleist TSi3D. Drooling over it. But - one to two freaking months to get it. Guys and girls, the supply chain for custom clubs seriously blows right now.

Have you had counterweighted shafts before? Just wondering how a D1 with counterweight would feel vs D1 with no counterweights. I’d have to imagine the CW would feel more stable.

Yup. Tried a couple. The lighter the sw for me, the more I turn the club head over.

I usually play my driver at D5 but with the TPO 1K it's a D3.  Still works fine.

Has anybody hit the 60X and 60TX.  Wondering what the difference in feel/performance is.  I ordered a 60X and was sent a 60TX untipped. I’m in the 105-110 realm depending on the day. Thanks.

Interested in hearing. The more I think about it, with a 60TX, I think probably a heavier SW will feel better. Otherwise, I might feel like all the weight is in the shaft and might try to overswing. I'll probably ask mine be built at D4 as well. I think my shaft will arrive today so I'm hoping I'll have this ready for my round on Saturday.

Im 107, going with a 60s tipped 1/2 inch like I did the OG Ventus. I tried the 60tx last year when the 1k white came out and did not enjoy it at all. Don’t take my word for it though. 
 

Shaft arrived today, will glue it up tomorrow, then taking some PTO on Friday to get out and finally play.

Thanks man.  I’m going to give it a spin this weekend and decide.  I played the OG TPO in 60TX and thought it was fairly beefy, but not ridiculous. However, they never made a straight 60X in that shaft.  Went stiff to TX.

You should be g2g since you did state that you gamed the TPO 60TX.  It's beefy but not as stout as the Tensei 1K for reference.

So the 1K Orange 60TX is stouter than the OG TPO 60TX? Thanks.

No, it's not any more stout.  Think OG TPO with more feel.  The TPO 1K for me is a little more stable as well.

I would agree with Phizzy. I gamed the TPO and find the TPO1K more fluid but still as stable. Actually allowed me to add more weight to my heads and up my ball speed. I have a 425LST that's at D9 and TD ST that goes between D9 and E3 depending on what weight I have in the front. Haven't noticed any SS reduction with the heavier swing weights.

D9 and E3?!  That's insane.  What's the method to the madness?

Honestly need the weight it turns out to really feel the head. The LST has the 17g stock weight in it with 2g of lead tape up front and the TD ST has the 18g weight up front instead of the stock 6. Going to experiment going down in weight now to see where I can get to and still really feel the head. Did hit 177 ball speed with the heavy TD ST/TPO 1K combo so who knows? I also don't seemingly swing a lighter swing weight driver faster so more mass behind the ball makes sense

Had a chance to compare both the ventus tr and the tpo1k on 4 holes yesterday. Ventus was in the tsi3 and tpo1k in the g400 lst. Tsi3 was set to 10.5, lst stayed at 10. Same lengths and swingweights with Ping having a heavier head. 
 

3 out of 4 holes the tpo1k was longer. 4/4 holes had less of a fade. Of course could be the different heads.
 

Probably going to put the Ventus/tsi3 on BST, I could use some cash allocation elsewhere in golf and the tpo1k was 9/10 fairways.
