My Taylormade Gapr lo 3. It’s the club I reach for on all the tight tee shots; full-bore I can get around 240 carry and if I hit a stinger it rolls out for miles. 
 

I honestly don’t know how far the stinger carries - must be 180-200, but last summer, I hit one on a hot day when the course was playing pretty firm that rolled out to 280 yards 😆

The feel of a good strike with anything in my bag right now.    Catching one with my driver though is just a wonderful thing.  And I’m doing it fairly often.  The 430 just setups up so nice, I am picking out the where I want and getting it there far more often than I did with anything else.

I've experienced this before with a certain few golf clubs.  Years ago, it was the Cleveland Quadpro 7-wood.  I hit three of the best "career" shots of my life with that club before taking a 15-year break from golf.

 

These days, it seems that my "special sauce" club is my Callaway Epic Speed driver with the Hzrdus Smoke shaft.  For some reason, it just feels right in my hands and fits my eye very well.  It's behaving very well right now and I haven't had any desire to change......yet.

I could nominate just about any club in my bag currently - hence why they're in my bag - but if I had to pick one it would be my Titleist 917 F3 3 wood. Not sure if it's the shaft (Rogue Max 75X) or the fact it was a fitting head, but I still get shocked occasionally with just how far it can go. 240 yards used to be a good 3 wood for me, I switched to this and immediately started knocking it past 260. I've tried it up against a TS3 and TSI3 and the 917 was longer than both, which I'm still trying to get my head round.

 

It's also cost me 3 new Drivers as I've tried to find one that can get significantly past it. The TS4 I have now has pulled a bit of a gap, but still not as accurate as the ole 917.

The most special clubs I have are the putter like the one in my avatar. That is my design from back in '99 which I used exclusively until '21. I still have 5 that I use from time to time. Refinishing them is a pain though, so I they aren't everyday gamers any more. I moved to a Stroke Lab V-Line a couple of years ago.

 

The story on that design is, I was belly-aching one day back in late '98 that no one made a good looking putter that was also functional. My wife said I should just design one myself so she wouldn't have to listen to me gripe any more. Well, there you go. 😁

Right now it's my 8-Iron. Statistically, it travels better and farther than both my 7 and 6. Clearly, I relax myself a bit more and swing it more purely than I do with the others. Whenever I've pulled that sucker out lately, it's like a mortar.

Well that did not last, as all I could hit was left of left with that Rouge ST MAX. 

 

I am back to the GOAT (PING G400 MAX) with a Ventus Red TR 6s at 45" and all is good again.

 

The GOAT definitely has some special sauce as this is my third go around, and this time it stays until it breaks (and I may have to get a back up).
