BOS golf Misted Aquamarine Finish - Before & After - Bettinardi BB8 raw

For anyone ever wondering what BOS golf's misted aquamarine finish looks like......well here you go.  I hated to finish off this raw Bettinardi, but I could not keep it from rusting.  I know that is probably the idea but I've been wanting to use BOS for a while and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.  Huge shout out to Sherry at BOS for awesome communication and updates.  So happy with how it turned out, smallest bit of rainbow hue on the flange from address, hard to see in photos.  Enjoy!!! Snagged a new head cover for it as well!!

FYI that putter will still rust if you don't keep it oiled.  That is still technically a "raw" head with a dark finish applied over it.

I wondered that.  I have some putter butter from when it was raw but i seems to just dry and evaporate.  Any oils that you recommend?

Hope the paint doesn’t wear when you take it in and out of the putter cover. I’ve seen where the Velcro can scratch the paint.

I have always used baby oil and a gun cloth on my carbon steel putters.

I thought the Aquamarine finish was blue?

First of all...the putter does look better imo. 

 

I'm not sure if that is in fact their aquamarine finish. It seems like a polymer type coating or something similar. Hard to tell from the pictures. I always thought their aquamarine was more of a blue...similar to oil can finish.

Has a little bit of a blue hue to it.  Definitely dark, even a little gray in some light!!

Thanks, it really does.  Very happy with it. I do already notice some changes happening, blemishing from having it in a cover.  I didn’t even think it got wet.

Black outdoor pic reminds me a lot of the black Carbon Ringo putter.
