Can confirm.  I received my irons 12 days after my fitting.  This was only a few weeks ago.

I am in Scotland so my friend will be flying back from Houston to Scotland for Christmas so I have a fair wait till I can play them. First round I think with them will be Gullane between Christmas and New Year.

Well my irons are sitting at my friends house.

 

This will be my only teaser form Jamie until I see them at Christmas(also too lazy to flip it round the right way, stupid GolfWRX).

Looks a lot like the VR irons, which is a VERY GOOD thing. Can’t wait to see more pics and hear about them!

I believe they are better than the VR irons, more refined and they are so easy to hit. It is silly really.

They are based off TW Nike irons, they have a longer blade than I am used to so will be interesting.

Yes, that’s why I’ve always liked to VR irons. I’m that one guy who prefers a longer blade length.

So from their IG post and DM, I guess the doors are now open for anyone to book a fitting! For what they’re charging per iron, seems like price point wise it’s in the Miura realm. 
 

Sorry if it’s already been asked - what are these Artisan irons comparable to?

I own some blades and only really researched the blades. I have yet to hit my irons as they are 5000 miles away.

 

From my understanding they are based off Tigers old Nike irons and tweaked until Artisan was happy with them. They like heavy heads, I can imagine they feel very similar to Miura blades(not the small headed ones). There seems to be no mention of swing weight in my build which I am normally very sensitive to and need heavy clubs or I loose the head in the swing. 

 

Massive part of their clubs is the fitting; I have been for wedge and putter fittings and both were amazing. I was not fit for the irons but my blueprints and me like each other a lot so I just kept everything the same. They have seen enough of me to know how I swing.

 

Interesting part is I play links golf but all the clubs were fitted in Texas, so very different and my wedges and putter have translated so well to the much harder, shorter cut turf. I am expecting the same from the irons.

I absolutely loved mine off links turf. I think they were totally in their element there.

They arrived Friday: 5-P MB black LZ 6.0. Awaiting Gap/Sand/Lob. They are stunning, they are heavy, they feel like a mix of Epon and Miura to me. I only did my usual back nine at sunrise but did make a point to hit every iron. Dense and solid but soft off the face. I’m super pleased so far. At home I felt a bit nervous, they felt heavy (D4, I’m usually at D2), long, and too upright. On the course they felt great, time will tell if lie angles are set or get adjusted. I was very happy to hit them well and the feel was better than I remember at the fitting. To me it’s akin to a haircut, you can’t fully tell if it’s good or not until you get home, in your own surroundings.

I really want mine now; although the weather is so bad here in Scotland lately that I have not touched a club in 3 weeks, can't even bring myself to go to the range. Mentally the break has been great but re starting is the hard part now!

My 4 iron came in to complete the set.  Stuck the blackout shaft in it and paint filled it.

About to pull the trigger on a set of second hand LS720MB, but as they don’t have a player number on the hosel I got a little curious to why. They only only have “LS*720MB” stamped. Anyone know what that means?

The finish is different and the heads offered out of Fort Worth are slightly more refined based on my understanding.

My buddy had a set of Japanese ones and he said the heads spun a lot.

There’s zero difference between the current Texas heads and the Japan ones other than some looks.  Performance wise they’re identical… the Japanese ones don’t spin more.

I'll be there tomorrow and will ask. Not sure about performance i.e. spin, but someone had mentioned they asked and was told heads were slightly different.
