Artisan upcoming irons

Since the Artisan irons are starting to get some visibility with Charl at the Masters and Rocco on social media thought it’s time to start a thread on intel on their new irons. 
 

Having been fit last year and having an opportunity to try all three models I’m fully in waiting mode. 

Shout out to the Artisan team for an awesome experience and excellent customer service.

I know someone else that feels same way, that’s been waiting a bit longer, might be a bit of an enabler though 😂

I heard there’s some sort of list based on existing customers that ‘s pretty long….Are these going to be in the 500 dollar a club range with a fitting included in the metroplex?

Interested to see if there will be any difference between these and the ones that released in Japan a while ago.

They are released per player number. I’m 1100 so probably not on the list for this year - which is great as it removes the temptation to do my annual refresh. 
 

Really it’s like they are actually saving me money, until I see the price of the new ones. Lol

The wait list isn’t necessarily 1100. They will release to existing customers based on their customer number. His is 1100. Not sure everyone that is a previous customer will want irons but always possible.

I’m not sure why they would be different than the Japanese version considering they are forged over there? Just my thought

I am getting fitted in June for wedges. I can't wait! I will be putting my name down for some irons too!

you can buy them for couples years already on rakuten global for 2K with modus or about any shaft

I don't get it? I ordered couples shaft(diamana zf,df) from them couples years ago for 200$ brand new and it was a flawless transaction.

artisan gonna release them for 3k a set minimum you can save 1k buying them from japan directly... why not?

It’s super critical to go and see the team. The grinds they put on my wedges have been magic. Excited to see what they do with the irons  

 

I previously played the Nike Pro Vapor Combo  and they put a great leading edge grind as default. Excited to see how these look in stock form.

Funny to see these with @joey3108 wedges in the bag rather than Artisan ones...not that I'd do anything different as a very happy JK customer

 

All the pictures of the Artisan irons I have seen look stunning, but man, there are just so many great irons out right now in a lot of different shapes. I'd be hard pressed to go full custom grind on irons unless I was playing for $$.

just think a basic wedge head is $330 I think off the top of my head so I can imagine it would be similar.

 

I bought a i59 3 iron to go with my blueprints and I was shocked how much it cost in the end, £250 ish I think.

Anyone know how many years are left on Tiger's TaylorMade contract? Genuinely think it would be the coolest thing ever if Tiger and Mike Taylor got to reunite and he got to play Artisan Irons and Wedges

Regardless of when it ends, Artisan is not going to pay anything close (if anything) to the same sponsorship dinero!

oh I'm very aware of that but I think Tiger has made enough money in his career and has a million other sources of income that he would sacrifice some of that dough to play irons designed by the man who made his equipment during the most successful part of his career

Also does anyone know if Artisan is ever going to make Left Handed stuff? I wanna game their wedges so f***** badly and its so sad that I need to play Vokeys like a peasant (lol)

From what I understand he pretty much does already. All of the clubs he plays are built up by Mike for Tiger. TM just send Mike the heads etc and he works his magic.

MT designed and built the Tiger TM irons.
