Artisan upcoming irons

Yep all have mill marks.  Standard DG is included and standard grip from GP.  Any other shafts or grips aren’t too much of an upcharge.  Very reasonable

I will be honest I was wondering if it was worth it after I paid for these.  In my mind I was thinking how much of a difference will these make in my game? Well I played yesterday and after taking a month off of golf I had the best ball striking round I’ve had in years.  What a night and day difference.  I was able to work the ball both ways, flight shots big and low… I’ve never had a set this good.  Literally can’t think of any reason why I don’t like them.  I hit multiple shots within 10 feet.  I just think the massive amount of headweight in these heads allow the shaft to optimally do it’s thing.  Maybe the puring helped as well but I’m incredibly impressed.  The VR pros that MT built me were the gold standard I’ve been chasing… these aren’t even in the same realm.  Really impressed with with the split forged cavity.  Feels like a blade and really forgiving.  I could have playing them all the way to PW.  But I just got the 5/6 iron.  These are 10/10.  Best irons I’ve ever hit.  Now I know why it took MT over 3 years until he was happy with the forgings

Well, I'm old so the blade will appeal to me visually. lol  My guess is I'll end up with a blended set comprising all three styles

I hope you find the time.  Fingers crossed for you

Anyone who prefers blades could easily play the MC as a full set. Same for CB players, they could play the FC with no problems. Top line may be a hair thick on the FC but the head is compact and beautiful.

#0966 here.  My guess is that there is going to be much more interest in these irons than anyone thinks.  1 out of 10 players interested?  I'd probably triple that at the very least.  I've played Mizuno irons only for the last 30+ years.  I got to hit a couple of the Artisan irons during my wedge fitting in early 2021.  Not even the finished, fully tweaked designs, and they were already better than any Miz I've ever held in my hands.

At 3 in 10, that puts me around iron set 290.  If they are doing 250 sets a year, my guess is I'll get a call mid-2024 to fit.  Cash is already in hand and waiting 🙂

In looking at the overall design, it doesn't look like they have a lot of discretion to move weight around if they bevel. They'd probably have to start fiddling with Tungsten plugs. Or just insert a tungsten rod a la Proto Concept C01. Disclaimer: I quite often don't know what I'm talking about.
