Got fitted for a Red TR, lasted about 2 months before it broke.  YMMV of course, and I hope you had a better experience than I did.

That dang shoulder tap claims yet another hopeless victim

Good thing Fujikura is expanding the Ventus line! Why fix it when you can make more money? 😉

And, it happened to me. Maybe 50 swings on two rounds of simulators. I love Fuji shafts and used a Ventus Black 6X for two season with no issues.

I swing anywhere from 115-120 and never had any issue with any driver shaft breaking, EVER. Spoke with my authorized dealer and said it was an unusual spot (about 2/3 from the adapter). Anyways, we'll see what they say. I'm not hopeful that it would get replaced but man, it sucks that @Fujikura Golf has made little effort to help the community out, especially on such a historically great shaft.

I had a Ventus Black as well that lasted almost 2 years as well.  Picked up a TR Black 4 months ago but got rid of it recently in favor for the VF.  Up until this point, I've never seen a TR Black break.  Condolences to you however, it's an unusual spot for a breakage as they typically break closer to the tip.  Hopefully Fuji sends you a replacement but don't hold your breath at this point.

Between this thread and the one in the deals forum where the Fujikura "sales manager" told a user his fake alixpress shaft was REAL....I have been reassured not to buy any Fuji shafts ever again.

Question....i see the weave isn't really visible in the photo.  Are my eyes correct??

I still think there was a LEGIT reason they changed the weave after the first couple of batches that had loads of failures.

I still haven't seen a broken TR where the weave was the much more visible weave of the more recent batches.  (I could be wrong tho)

Still amazing to me Fuji is not taking responsibility at all for this fiasco.

I wonder how much replacing these broken shafts would have cost vs. the reputation hit over time? Maybe a calculated loss that they were willing to take. It’s a shame because I liked most of the Fuji’s I’ve tried and did not get along with shafts from other brands. Having options are good for all golfers. But this response will cause some to reconsider their shafts going forward.

If you have to ask, you don’t want to know 😂 (it’s cheap and very very cheap)

their stance is “principle” or arrogance? No clue, but either is wrong

I won’t touch a @Fujikura Golf shaft nowadays because of this. Mitsubishi or Graphite Design for me…. And apologies for the rant but high sales # products with awful customer support is hard to watch. 😂

This Ventus line of shafts makes enough side money on “Made for” Ventus products, to cover golf-specific breakages and then some. Let alone they inherently factor warranty into the very expensive $350+ msrp. Their customer support has no idea how many customers this is going to keep from going near Fuji products.

I’ve been paying attention to many third party reviews and discussions on the recent Fujikura Ventus products, and it seems their quality control has really dipped. Either they reduced sampling carbon fiber defects at incoming quality inspection OR they just stopped testing every product that comes off the line. I know for a fact that the tour supplied Ventus products are tested differently because the PR nightmare of a failure during a PGA tour event.

If their Engineering Failure Analysis was diligent, every shaft that breaks catastrophically should be analyzed to make sure their suppliers or process isn’t messing up intermittently. No manufacturing process is perfect… to think Fuji knows “every single way this can break without analyzing each on” is ridiculous/engineering hubris.

For the Ventus MSRP, near immediate breaks during the intended use case activity should be covered without questions. Also every shaft should be way more consistently round then the ones sampled at Russ’ golfshaftreviews website…. We all use adjustable adapters, quality shouldn’t be compromised based on adapter setting on a $350+ part.

Also, I'm confused as how they have a TWO YEAR WARRANTY on their shafts, but can't replace a shaft that: (a) has a serial number, (b) hasn't been more than the two year period as the shaft hasn't been out for two years.

Honestly, I love Fuji shafts. Used my Ventus Black for two seasons without any issues. This is a little ridiculous though. Certainly rubbing me the wrong way.
