With the price of petrol it would probably cost me a brand new driver in fuel to go take the selfie and come home.

No you're not going to get to go to Scotland but you could win a driver!!

Andrew Tursky and I have been staying in Blairgowrie, Scotland and driving back and forth everyday since Friday, July 8th (2022 in case this takes awhile to get a winner)

There are "speed camera" signs all up and down the road as the speed limit ranges from 70mph down to 20mph and going from 70mph to 40mph, back up to 60mph and then quickly down to 30mph sets drivers up to get caught on one of these speed cameras.

Such was the case on Friday afternoon when rounding a corner and not getting down to 40mph from 60mph quickly enough when we spotted a police officer with a radar/speed camera.  Figured I was a dead duck and would be receiving a speeding ticket in the mail from the rental car company, once the police figured out from the license plate that the car was a rental.

On Saturday, I made sure to drive the correct speed, especially thru that area and sure enough, the cop was there again!

On Sunday, I drove even slower thru there (like 30mph) and then noticed that the "cop" was actually a cardboard or plexiglass cutout of the cop.  It was actually painted so well, like 3-d style that when you drove by it it looked like the cop rotated the speed camera at the car.

On Monday, we stopped and took photos of the "cop" and selfies with the cop and also tagged it with my ninja sticker logo.

***Here's what the contest entails -

Find the "cop" with my ninja sticker on it, take a selfie of yourself with the cop and my sticker (better hope it's still there when you get there cuz it has to have the ninja sticker on the cop in your selfie to win) and post it on here.  It is located on A923 just before you get to the town of Coupar Angus.

1st one to get a selfie and posted will win a driver (maybe one of the new Titleist TSR)

@pga43 Hi Greg: Any chance you'd consider modifying/relaxing the "selfie" rules somewhat,

which might help this contest to go more 'viral'?

e.g. your photo made me think of Greg Norman

(especially with the matching all-black outfits ... perhaps Greg Norman's = dark blue(?) ... and athletic outdoorsy physiques! )

...and also gave me flashbacks of the "Travelocity Gnome" series of amusing travelogue commercials!

Here's my hastily-assembled photoshopped entry!

(i hope you'll be kind & overlook the imperfections in this photo ... i used powerpoint(!)  for the quick edits, didn't have photoshop available

... Photo = with the perspective of  "Greg [Norman] on the outside, Looking in!" )

Happy travels with Tursky @atursky through the Scottish isles & at St Andrews
(we shall live vicariously through your photos/ stories via GolfWRX!)

@pga43 @atursky Could you please share your thoughts on "The delights of/why stay in Blairgowrie" when planning a golfing trip to Scotland?

Or is this simply a case of finding a suitable place within ~1 hour's drive of St Andrews, given the presumably crazy crowds keen to attend the 150th Open?

I had to google Blairgowrie, as i wasn't familiar with it.  https://goo.gl/maps/hZjn5xLZfxkxZ4bB9

Have you tried some of the local 'cuisine' ... Scotland is notably famous for haggis ... Arbroath Smokies ... and deep fried mars bars!

Time has come to say a huge thank you to @pga43 for such a generous competition prize. Also with the additional of 24 prov1’s - hopefully I won’t go through them as quick as I do with the old driver off the tee.

Now I have the driver in my hands I’m so glad I waited and picked the TSR2. The idea of requesting another OEM driver did cross my mind but stayed strong. I went for the 10° head w/ tensei blue 55 stiff shaft.

Unfortunately it been raining none stop for weeks and my local course as been completely closed for a few days. But that’s what you get for living in Scotland. I‘ll have to hit the driving range until the weekend as there are signs of improvement in the weather and I will report back.

Also the sneaky Ninja made its way in the box as well😆
