Lydia is using a Scotty Cameron P5 GSS putter which has a machine turned Aluminium sole plate.

Her putter has 'LYDIA' stamped on the extreme toe and 'KO' stamped on the extreme heel.

Crikey! These cost around $7,500. I hope it was a present. Not that Lydia would be short of cash.

Lydia Ko -- back to back 65s - currently first place at -14 under.  Nicely done.  She has been playing some really good golf for a while now.   She's put up with her share of critics over the years too, but good to see her in a really good spot.  Through thick and thin she has never lost faith in herself and I think that self belief helped her get through the rough patches.

Lydia is definitely due... she has been in the hunt several times lately.

She just needs to eliminate the wild miss with her driver. She got off to a great start last Sunday at Evian, but a couple of bad misses ended her charge.

The next2 weeks are perfect, very forgiving fairways ....... well as long as you avoid the bunkers and the GORSE bushes lol

Muirfield is in stunning condition. Hopped over the fence after watching at Renaissance. Won't play as linksy as you might expect. Staying out of the thick rough and bunkers will help.

Dundonald looks to have been softened beyond belief this week. Played the course and spectated and never seen so much room off the tee.

Been busy today so I only just now finished watching the 2nd round coverage on DVR.  First thing I noticed is that they fixed the Race to the CME Globe graphic after yesterday so that Lexi's name was corrected and they included the 2nd syllable in the Korean names.  Haha.  My big take away from the 2nd round was seeing Patty T playing SO much better than yesterday to make the cut.

Yuka made the cut too.

Nana K yet another poor Friday to miss yet another cut. After such a hot start to the season, she had fallen on hard times.

Yealimi finished 120 something. Yikes. She will plummet further down the Rolex Rankings. Wouldn't be surprised if she drops out of the top 100 before seasons end.

From a pure gambling perspective, I think I'm looking at Allison Lee as a long shot bet at the Women's Open.  The AIG does bring us odd winners IMO and Allison has posting some nice rounds this year just not all coming together for her.  I think the AIG for the most part won't involve the top 10 and Allison seems she has the game for links and perhaps the sneaky type of winner we get at the AIG.

She's certainly near the top of the list reading best seasoned LPGA golfer without a win. Maybe I'd rank Xiyu and Megan Khang above her.

I was hoping that after Yealimi had the 10T at the Dow playing with A Lim Kim that *maybe* she had found something.  Plus, with playing so well in last year's Evian, I was hoping she would have some momentum, but with MC's at Evian and this week, I guess she's still a bit in the weeds.  Fingers crossed for the rest of her season.

Golf is so finicky!  Lydia filled in to play like the old Jin Young Ko while the real Jin Young taking a break,

She’s just returning to her spot to be the best Ko out there which Jin young took from her. So in reality Jin young was playing like the old Lydia and now she’s back!! 🤪🤓

With her missing the cut this and last week, I was surprised that she's still on AIG entries list next week.  Su Oh, for example, didn't make it.  Maybe it's because she finished inside Top-15 last year.

AIG Final Field

This season, she has been playing like Jillian Hollis or Kristen Gillman in 2021; one of LPGA's worst players.  She may need to go through 2022 Q-School because her 215.89 CME Globe points may not be good enough for #100 ranking.

With all her talent, I don't know what's been her issues!  At this point, my guess is it's all mental!

She just needs some handsome 6 foot 4 Korean dude to be her caddie, that will probably help 😂

Based on her projected priority rank, it could do her some good to slum it up on the Epson Tour next year. It worked for Lilia Vu, who was older, and now one of the better young American players on the tour, Andrea Lee won earlier this year and hasn't looked back.

Would Muni He play Epson Tour?  We probably will find out next season!

Somehow, I can't envision "Slave Rim" playing Epson Tour.  She may have other attractive options.

Depends if this LIV ever happens but I think LPGA will co-exist with them unlike PGA

I think she will finish top 100 in the Globe moreso a testament to not many ppl catching her at this point in the season vs her improving play

Ariya = definition of clutch birdie on the 18th , to make the cut!

Love Ariya. She's been my favorite LPGA player hands down. But should we really be calling her clutch for simply birdieing her last hole of an event to make the cut? I think not. Unfortunately she is having issues with her game.

Fair point @grm24. We hope/ expect more from Ariya i agree.

(Thanks for the gentle/civil way that you shared your view ... i see that other areas/contributors in the GolfWRX forum has become more combative/confrontational esp the L*V discussions hence cordoned-off/pre-moderated!)

But had Ariya not made that 'clutch' birdie ... she would've had the weekend off (alongside 12~other pros who finished at Even-par! e.g. Meghan MacLaren double-bogeyed her last hole to finish even-par and miss the cut!)

A bit drookit is it?  As people often joke, a Scottish summer day is when you can experience all four seasons.  🙂

From the comedy show 'Little Britain', some will 'get' this. For others, the joke is the 'sunbathers' basking in the Scottish rain.

@Rapidcat 🔊 Continuing our discussion on some of the LPGA compilations of tee-off shots = audio-enhanced?...

1st video = artificially-enhanced?

2nd video = authentic sound?

3rd video (with ancient hickory -shafted irons) = sounded ASMR-ish, even without enhanced sound! (ignoring the background music)
