Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open (Jul 28 - 31)

Not the round Lydia wanted but tough to have all 4 rounds be really low.  She's still in a good spot in the lead she just let lots of people back into it.  I was gauging Celine's play this week to see how she'd be heading into the AIG, cause you know Celine would be a good links player.  But Celine is looking good this week lol.  Great rounds by MAL, Lilly and Harm, I'd probably only go back to -12 with an outside chance for the win tomorrow.

Would have been great if Lydia got that eagle on 18.  So close to holing out.  But getting at least a birdie after the bogey is nice.

MAL is in the final group so will be interesting to see if we can have back-to- back 🇨🇦 winners.

Still would like to see Lydia get the W though after her runner up finish last year.

Obviously Lyd's and Celine are favorites tomorrow, but it would be great to see another Sophia Shubert like performance by an underdog.

It's was the commentators that mentioned Leblanc was going to be in the final group with Lydia and Celine.  But you're right, there is plenty of daylight for twosomes but if they do that, we'll likely have to find alternate means to view the final holes once GC cuts the feed.

This is getting irritating.  It seems GC would rather show B-level PGA players than the top females in the world.  They aren't even replaying later today.

Don't forget they would rather show the Champions Tour over the LPGA also. They will replay the 3rd round at 1AM.

Of course we (LPGA sub-forum fans) would love to get better coverage and replays, by now it should be accepted that's it not gonna happen anytime soon. Routine viewership and demand is just not there. Whenever ladies golf can gather 50% the viewership that men's golf can, maybe then the coverage will improve.

Personally, I'm thankful it's on at all, for now...

You're right.  Having spent 20 years caddying for the ladies, I take things somewhat personal where they are concerned.  It is better than it used to be.

So why isn't it available as a stream? Heck, I'd actually consider paying for Peacock if the replays were available.

Completely agree but the LPGA does absolutely nothing to try and change it.  I doubt you'll find "it" depending on Networks, understand you're Niche and maybe you can grow out of it, or not who knows.  But I'll say it again they got take control of content for tour events.  A good and easy start buy 3-4 cameras, hire the same # people, get some WIFI and open a Youtube account.  Show a feature group opposite the GC coverage every round (usually mornings).  Not a solution just one way to start getting more content out there.

Yeah that would be decent but they run into the problems with their TV deals, I think the LPGA is locked on to the golf channel until 2030 and the golf channel/nbc maintain the US rights while the LPGA maintains the international rights. Not sure what the money is like internationally for it, but a quick look around for the US numbers are with the joint LPGA/PGA deal the LPGA less than 10% of the 700mm/year deal, "Monahan saying north of 90%" when asked about the PGA Tours cut.

Its why we cant watch internet clips of certain shows on official channels like SNL on NBC youtube, but if us Canadians go to the GlobalTV website the same clip plays. So the LPGA then needs to figure out what it can and cant do if they start showing it themselves, things like advertisers get complicated, do they only show it in certain regions - is it even profitable without the US? Other broadcasters might just drop the LPGA internationally since its not hard to get an illegal stream or use a VPN, so a niche product that starts getting less views might just push it being not worth it.

So sadly the LPGA is going to be pretty much the same till 2030, so who knows what the broadcasting/viewing landscape will be like then.

What in the world happened to EKP in the third round? Sitting in nice shape at -7 after the second round. Has an early birdie and then throws up an 81 burger in round three. Ugh.

Ouch that back nine including a quadruple bogey.

"Clutch" par on the last to avoid shooting 82. 😅

Thank you Mr. Obvious. I already saw her scorecard. I was hoping that one of the more well informed LPGA fans here could provide actual insight on her round.

Looks like there are birdies to be had out there. Madelene and Stephanie are both -5 near/at their halfway point.
