Any reason she dropped Bouchard?

Apparently he had halitosis.

Congrats to Ayaka, the 'other' rookie amongst the Jeeno and Hye Jin hype.

With Ayaka and Jeeno already winning and Hye-Jin knocking on the door, wonder which one will come down with the dreaded sophomore slump next year? Appears Yuka is taking part in the slump right now.

Yuka could be slumping a bit due to getting acclimated to a full season on the LPGA tour, I don't think any of these 3 ladies will be struggling anytime soon, altho maybe Ayaka can get exposed a bit by the longer courses on US soil.

Ayaka is pretty short off the tee, but she's only 5 yds shorter than the world no.1

Inbee managed a few wins in her day, hitting the big stick around 245.

Lydia is very close and she'll probably back at it this week, she just needs her putter to do better

I think she is very close too (SYR and her were my "hope" pikes for the two remaining majors).  Her driver and iron swings are so different though.  One is in perfect balance (granted this week had a lot of partial shots) and the other reminds me of Phil; just waiting for something to go wrong 14 times per round🙈.  A few good breaks and she'll win though.

On a different note, I've also wondered whether one of Hyundai' competitors could approach her for a sponsor deal?  Would be funny to see her walk around with another logo😆

I don't doubt there would be pushback from some people and while I'm all about standing on your own merits in this one case I say play the girl card.  The PGA negotiated the deal and with a few exceptions the content is basically on NBC and if there's any grief I say embarrass them like they never have been before.  Monnahan has his own issues right now, pretty sure he doesn't wanna lose the high ground by being the face of keeping women down.   Go right after a guy like Billie Horshel, you talk a good game with morality with your golfing peers and you have daughters so tell me billie why are you and your tour all about keeping women down, you a misogynists Billie?  Then launch the same attack at NBC and GC the WOKE, progressive CEO and shareholders of Universal group won't want any of that PR especially for something they probably don't make money on.  I think if you come up with options you can get out of any bad deals with a pressure campaign to embarrass them, especially if PGA pro's gotta start answering question about trying to prevent the women's game from growing.

But you would need Mollie to be all in for the LPGA and I think she's more about being liked and getting into the boys club. so?  Also this type of fight would be a marketing hit, you get overwhelming public support while bringing awareness to a new venture.

lol it has nothing to do with Monnahan, hes the PGA side of the joint contract the PGA and LPGA negotiated with the US Broadcasters. With the way tournament venues needing to be forced to take the US Womens Open (by threatening to take away the mens tournament) it would do far more damage to the LPGA. The PGA has nothing to answer. You would ask questions and they would just say thats and LPGA matter, the ladies run their own tour, the PGA deals with the portion of the contract they negotiated.

Inbee is probably the best putter of all time, man or woman 🙂

I agree though, she has a good all around game, I like all 3 players long term outlook over Yuka.

Congratulations to Furue. Masterful! Was pulling somewhat for Maude and couldn't help noticing total lack of sponsorship on her all black attire. Did I miss it? What gives, 🇨🇦??

Probably holding off to see if she can secure her card for once! She should be safe now.  She is fun to watch, she pummeled that drive on 17.

Yep, I agree that her putter was definitely absent those last two rounds.

(For L.Ko, I also noticed particularly on Sunday that her approach shots were not up to her best level of play which I am sure did not help those putting stats at all.)

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
