Well, if you had "Relaunch the Golo with tons of holes in the cavity and call it another automotive themed name" on your Scotty bingo card, you can check that off. Am I the only one finding it ironic that a putter line dubbed the "Monoblock" is a multi-piece putter? Oh well. 

 

Love the old Golo shape but can definitely do without the weird holes and such.

I thought the same thing. When I read the name I assumed it would have been milled with the neck. Not sure why this is special, other than a new sole plate. Definitely will be cheaper to pick up an old GOLO

I laughed at monoblock as well since it has an aluminum sole plate, which if my math is correct would be a second piece. Are the current putters not milled from one block of steel? I thought that their special select models already were. The 6.5 looks good but once I see that a Scotty is a limited release I remind myself I will never see one. No interest in paying the markup to whoever gets them day one and then wants to flip them.

Why add "Tour Only" options when droves of people will buy OTR putters marked up 175%. There is no incentive to change his model at all unfortunately.

Who are we to question how Scotty wants to be identified and his pronouns for his putters?  LOL 

 

"We start with a blank canvas"(from promo video)   He names it 'Monoblock" because it started life as a single block of 303 SS and then we make a contradiction by putting the Monoblock on a second type of different steel (6061 Aircraft Aluminum).  Of course the only identifier label is this plate but this allowed him to achieve the "perfect size and weigh"  therefore also increasing the MOI!  

 

This dude knows how to sell a putter!!

I agree on a modernized classic.  Until then mine just keep increasing in value.

The black blades don’t seem too hot on the bay from what I’m seeing

Yeah these are way more limited than the Jet Set. Apparently retailers are not allowed to advertise the Monobloks at all, which is why you don't see them listed on any websites yet. Some retailers who got 10+ of the Jet Set are only getting 2 Monobloks.

 

I use a GoLo as my gamer and I really like this release. I do see some subtle changes. Looks like the sole weights are a bit closer to the face than on my GoLo and I really enjoy the milling they added on the shoulders of the putter.

This is just Titleist/ SC the corporation cashing in on the collectibles market bubble. They can sell a $400 putter for twice as much because they know whoever bought it can also double their money. It's annoying, but I doubt it lasts forever.

I had a comment all typed out and decided that it was better deleted and just say that I am never surprised by what is put out by this maker.  GoLo repurposing is actually environmentally friendly.  Can I say that?

Totally agree on the 2012. I’d rather buy another original GoLo 5 than this one.
