New cobra wedges......

They dropped their player irons, new tec hybrid and new utility today.

 

Usually they have a summer drop of utilities and wedges in the summer.

 

So, I'm curious when the wedges will drop. I've seen pictures of them.

I really like the Snakebite wedges.  Cobra wedges have always worked well for me.  Only negative is lack of bounce or grind options.  Hopefully they make that change.

Would love for cobra to make a less busy, tour inspired shaped wedge with more traditional shaping and grinds. Little straighter leading edge and overal squarer head shape like vokey, Cleveland and Callaway.

The players iron is sharp. It comes standard in chrome as a split cavity set like the previous generation which is attractive. You can order it as either full CB, MB 3-GW

Really interested in pairing a set of wedges with the new CB irons. Hopefully, if someone uncover some pictures, they are as appealing as the new iron line.

I really wish they’d go back to raw wedges. The old Trusty Rusty wedges were the best.

This past year I had a couple of the Snakebite wedges in the bag.  The 54 and 58 with the versatile grind and black finish.  Looked good and both performed well for me.  My only negative was that they had a firm feel.  

 

I got used to it pretty quickly, but it was a noticeable difference from the forged wedges I had been using previously.

i have been holding off finishing my bag because a lot of the options are not offered on current ones, and i also am hoping to see what is "new" this year but cobra hasnt really said or even teased anything.......im thankful for some of you who have done there work and answered questions for us but we still have no idea when we will get info or even when they will be avail..... i get it that its "driver" and "iron" season and that is all they focus on, but if we are talking summer then i will just get the snake bites.

thanks....i dont care about name, i am just limited on OL wedges and held off on the snakebites since i assumed they were going to have new ones this year with not having all options on custom order SB's......any idea on price? this is the other thing i "care" about, it seems like EVERYTHING is going up in price (including there drivers) so if its $200 per, im just going to get a SB OL.......and thank you for the reply. would you say its worth it to wait or just do SB's?

Bought a Snakebite 50º wedge for $20 off some one who didn't care for it and really enjoyed it. Played no different than my Vokeys, TM MG / Hi Toes, etc. etc. Good solid wedge and couldn't beat it for the $$$.

I have no idea on price unfortunately.

 

Putting together a Cobra set here, so asked in a local shop about what might coming out, and someone was kind enough to tell me the new ones would be out in March, no ideas on price or anything though. They mentioned the name too...

 

Personally, I'm waiting because I can't see any deals on the SB, so will just wait and see.

Cobra UK told me May. They Cancelled an order I made for the SnakeBite wedges in August after a couple of months because of supply chain problems. I hope things get better this year.

Something that I'm not sure if they've ever done before is a progressive notch placement on the different wedges. Lets wedges sit more flush on open face shots.

I agree.  Had a set pre Snakebite and all the notches were centered.

So is there another wedge coming? Kind of odd to me if people posted that they "know what its called but cant say" and it turns out the wedge is just an updated snakebite.

I wasnt trying to be negative with my comment, so my apologies if it came across that way. I guess I wasnt expecting the next wedge to just be a Snakebite V2 thats all. They look good for sure, and since my whole bag is cobra im sure these will eventually end up being my gamers.

I was kinda shocked to just see "SB" on them after what I was told, maybe they'll be Snakebite X in name, but they're not putting SBx on them. 🤷‍♂️

 

Unless there's a more game improvement/mass market one coming too? I really have no idea now lol

looks wise, i think they have a cooler/updated look....but not sure how much "better" they are then the last version (i dont care if they look better, i care about how they play), but i have a sense that these are going to be jumping in price which to me (not really knowing whats "new" about them) would be unjustified.....they do look very sleek and cool, and hope they have them in OL.
