When I was doing my PLD order I asked about this. He told me they are still working on it and have some tweaks from the tour guys and also finding ways to change the head weight. At least they haven’t given up on it!

That Anser D looks like it might be exactly what I’ve been hoping for for a long time.
 

For lefties, there really aren’t any milled wide-body blades with plumber’s necks. I’d buy a Bettinardi BB8W, for example, in a heartbeat, but they’re righty only.

 

Ping’s Anser 2D is great, as is the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K Double Wide, but I’d love a version that’s milled instead of having an insert.

 

Fingers crossed these come to market and are available for lefties! I’d order one in my specs on the first day possible.

So are these an update to the PLD Milled retail line or are these PLD customs?

Ping seems to be doing what Scotty Cameron fans want done to his putters. Simple and clean. May have to try these out.

I have the DS72 and the Anser.  Both really nice.  Only nitpick is the deep milling which is a little too soft for my preference

Plus there has been a couple PLD’s Anser’s in carbon for sale on Wrx for $1600+

 

As for what models I have no clue. Just nice to see its being used and hope I can get one.

Oh you're talking about custom. Retail ones are stainless and new models are coming out in April which I assume are the same.
