Ehh... he shot +2 today. Rory isn't known for his hot starts, but if he doesn't come backing Ror'ing, I would like to see the new P7MBs, err... P7RMs in his bag for the Genesis lol

Anyone know if he put the Stealth2 Plus in play or just had it for the WITB photos?  He knew Greg was coming for him.

It’s super flat in standard and a lot of them play it closer to 45 inches than 45.75. Factor in the open face angles that a lot of these guys like… I don’t think you’d want to have the club super flat, the open and the loft low. Would create a weird dynamic.

Very interesting seeing the 760s at the low end of the bag. Will be more interesting to see if they stick around. 

 

I'm also curious to see when the Stealth 2 driver finds a home in the bag.

He needs the fargiveness lol. I do hope the 2 makes it into the bag, do wonder what is keeping him out of it.

 

In the interview he made it sound like the 760s were a course specific change, though I'd be happy to see them stick around.

Didn’t even notice at first but he also had 2 5 woods (OG Stealth Plus 5 wood and Stealth2 Plus 5 wood).  Did he put the OG 5 wood in the bag this week or did he switch to the Stealth2 Plus like he did with the 3 wood?

I think it’ll in and out of the bag depending on the course. He want something that didn’t come in as flat so hence the 760 3&4 but I would think they would go back to his rorsproto 3&4 after this tournament.

if i had to guess, rory's staying away from the '2' model bc of the new shape and how the toe sits. Seems as though taylormade built stealth 2 plus with a shape that's suited for a fade shot shape. flatter, toe of the club hugging the ground, and larger heel area. Reminds me of the OG SIM from up top.

Eh, didn't see one for Rory at Genesis so figured I'd reply here:

 

Anyone know what 3 or 4 iron he is running? Old P750s? Saw a glimpse of it on TV and he has been murdering that thing.

 

I also see he hasn't made the switch to the Stealth 2 driver yet. Neither has TDub which I expected. Rory is usually quicker on board with new drivers, I wonder how his new contract is all set up and if he is starting to slowly creep away.

I believe Greg recently mentioned that Rory’s new deal was 10 clubs, hence the Vokeys.

With the Stealth its the worst he has driven the ball...and he's still winning obvs. Long but definitely a wild driver to tame

Maybe the Stealth 1 has done the ole “iPhone trick” where the newer (Stealth 2) version comes out and the old one (Stealth 1) starts mysteriously acting up.

I’m really curious on the makeup of his wedges. Does he use straight up PX 6.5’s? Are they tipped at all? If so, how much? Off the rack Vokeys use s200’s and most people just roll with that despite it not being the correct shaft/flex for them at all.
