Bridgestone e9

Just wondering why nobody has been talking about the bridgestone e9 long drive ball ?

Is really nobody using, testing or trying them ? Or are they really so niche or bad that nobody wants to try ?

I'm a big fan of the Bx, really solid ball, yet still a decent bit of spin to them on short game. at around 46 a dozen, of course, it's always nice to find a cheaper alternative.

330 aerodynamical dimples, no seam, graduation core, sounds like a 2 piece. Less drag certainly sounds nice for a windy day.... for 26$

I'm curious if the balls speeds, flight, consistency and distance are really increased over the likes of using a Bx.

I didn't really see any reviews, comparisons or much information really, other than their initial release.

Anyone have some experience or materials to share?

sad to hear it, i'd have thought there would have been at least a few people who'd played it.

I finally bit the bullet and combined the shipping from amazon with some other items, and for 29.99, I think that so far, they are great.

Not yet had them out on the course, however, I took them down to my friend's sim and played there and they felt really nice from the face. No damage, or durability into a screen and the putting feels good off the face on an indoor putting mat.

Looking forward to test them out at the chipping range this week, or during a round next weekend.

It does seem to be a bit of a smaller market ball, having played the E12 Contact for a while I can't see myself even considering th E9.

I enjoyed the previous e12 before the contact, I think it was e12 soft ? I like the idea and concept behind the contact, however, I felt like when they added it to the e12, the ball became harder.

I still really enjoy the e6, however, it's not go enough spin for me while i'm playing on rock hard greens, I need a bit more help from the premium line there.

I was recently playing with the Tour B X, i feel like it's a very good ball, and enough spin for me (compared to the B X S).

E9 graduation core is also very interesting concept, at least, it's marketted well. whether or not it is really working, will need to test it out. My numbers on the SIM were as expected, difficult to tell the real spin compare to the course. I wonder why they don't also encorporate the contact cover into the graduation core ?

If this can perform similar to the B X at half of the price, I think it has the potential to become a very good ball.

So far, it is not feeling like a rock at all. I played a mixture of pro v1's and chrome soft in the mixture while hitting on the SIM, and the e9 were equally as soft as those in comparison.

Bridgestone claims it's not an old rock style distance ball.  I bought a box to test out... Will post back as soon as I get a chance to hit them.

It’s a great ball. It’s not your typical distance ball. I think many would find that it’s surprisingly playable and enjoyable. You’ll notice a little less spin on chip shots but it’s great from driver-pitch shots. Chipping with it isn’t awful like a Velocity or something like that though.

Exactly, I feel like it's perfectly playable and a very good ball for 30 bucks.

Going to order more or find some bulk deal, I think these are great.

So far, I've played 5 round with them and they perform very well. Not super spinny, as some might be looking for, but it's very comparable to the BX, in my opinion. But it's almost half the price.

It’s a very good scramble ball. I’ve played it in 4 or 5 scrambles this year…but only hit with driver so can’t comment on anything other then that. But off the driver myself, son and buddy noticed it just wants to go high and straight where you aim. It was a touch longer then the Tp5x or Prov1x I typically play.

Got a chance to put these to the test

I will say they are as advertised, LONG

I was getting 10-20 yds on every drive I hit

On one short par 5 I am normally 200 out to the green, I was 180 out.

They do not feel like a rock either

As a matter of fact they felt just like a normal ball off of the driver or a wood

Off of my 5 wood they are long too

Off the tee or the deck I was getting the same results , 10 -20 yds on every shot

Reach every par 5 on the course, and I normally can only reach one

I did not hit any irons into greens with the ball so I cannot attest to the spin off of an iron or whether they can hold a green.

Nor did I putt with them

If you play in a scramble or just want to hit it long, these golf balls are the real deal.

Thanks, for sharing. Are they longer than a Velocity?

Have not compared the E9 to the Velocity but I do have a few Velocity's so I might give it a try
