Milled TaylorMade Putters

Rumor is that TM is finally making fully milled stainless steel putters with no insert...... and that they look really good. 

 

Anyone got anymore insight on this?

They’ve done it before. Years ago they did the Kia ma putters. They felt amazing and were solid putters, but did not sell well.

They have some great shapes. I would definitely be interested in their offerings if they were milled faces. I have never gotten on with their inserts, especially the blades.

Very underrated line imho.  Is Kia Ma still designing for TM?

Not sure. He was not a young man when he was doing it for them last go around and that was at least 15 years ago I believe

The milled Kia Ma putters by TM were great but I believe they had an insert in them when they first came out.

I think this has been a glaring hole for TaylorMade so this is definitely a step in the right direction

Hopefully they have some nice options for this line. Kinda funny when asked about this before TM kept saying they were "all in on their insert technology" but that excludes a large segment of golfers I guess.

I want to say the Initial Kia Ma Rossa TP's had the red aluminum insert then the next series came out in Black & fully stainless.

 

Their lines were confusing cause they had the Rossa Then the TP.

I agree, this is a big hole in their equipment lineup. Will definitely be interesting to see price points, I have a hard time seeing them directly competing with Scotty and Ping's PLD but time will tell

Popped into my local Golf Galaxy last night to kill some time before dinner and the local TM rep was there showing the sales/shop folks some "new" fully milled putters. I wasnt allowed to get too close to look but was able to corner one of the shop guys and asked him about it and he said they look and feel awesome. Suppose to give Scotty Cameron's a run for its money and priced around 400. Looking forward to seeing what happens with these.

Don't know anything other than chrome/silver whatever they call it. But I would be suprised if they didn't do a MyReserve where you could get a black one and with custom paintfill etc, for an upcharge of course.

Photo = my Kia Ma putter. I think i paid <$50 for this... a good deal .  IIRC Kia Ma was a mentor to Scotty Cameron?

This is true. My club pro/teacher is a TM Canada staffer and he said June there will be a full line of new putters (extensive choices were his words), that's why he's still rolling his GT notchback right now as he's waiting to go fit for the new Milled line once released.
