Block seems surprised he’s driving the ball all over the place. I’m never surprised when I am.

Yeah, he seems to be on tilt here on 15.

Well.....back to reality for Brock. Hard to play after all the hoopla he's been through the last few days. I bet he wishes he was home having a few beers with friends at his club.

The Block story was awesome. That doesn’t mean I need to see every shot while the guy chops it around and shoots 80.

coming up 5 clubs short on 16 should have had him shaking his head like when he was told he was playing with Rory. Commentary usually go bananas for such mishits but they used the distraction of it skipping out of the water nicely.

Hard to watch Block last night, had to wonder about the energy he had heading into the week after everything that has gone on the past week and a half. Hopefully he will post something half decent today and gets the chance to enjoy his success from last week.

Dude. Can like everyone cut this out already?

My man had a rad week last week. That was awesome. I enjoyed watching it. But it's been all about this sorta "any chop can show up and beat the best" story when fact is dude is a decently seasoned PGA pro with a solid resume. Like it ain't your bro that can drop a 68 at 6200 yards ... but also not anyone that can keep up with actual tour pros.

FFS, major winners when they hit their 40s, people write off as over-the-hill.

He had a good week. Awesome. But let's all just everybody calm down. He's gonna miss these couple of cuts and then go home. And put that check towards some decent real estate. Ain't cheap in his hood.

Exactly.

Why would people expect him to be in the top 20 every week now on the PGA Tour? If he was that good to compete week in, week out on tour, he would have done so decades ago.

He is clearly a great player who trained/practiced all year just for the PGA Championship and he performed extremely well.

Top tour pros are able to handle the all the travel and keep their foot down mentally every week on different courses and conditions. Not many people have that attribute to compete every week.

And California's gonna find a way to take half that ~$250k he won anyway. So maybe he can pay his power bill next month. 😂

Eh. I just wanted the good story to extend a little. Maybe not even making the cut. But at least challenging to make the cut. Not to come out and shoot an opening round 81, 4 shots from 119th place.

The sequel is almost never as good as the first movie, but it's always sad when the sequel is made and you walk out of it thinking "that was just horrible".

His presser reminds me of just how mentally strong a consistent touring pro has to be.   This is why guys like Trevino amaze me, sort of had to raise himself and still had to develop mental callouses to carve out greatness on the tour.

God the hubris of the oddsmakers after round one Scheffler is still +320. That's actually worse odds than the +350 he opened at and he's 5 back to the leader and a couple back to some good players.

I think Vegas knows what they are doing. Scheffler likely gonna be tied for lead or 1 back by end of round 2

6 back the leader, 3 back the leading crowd if the leader is an anomaly.  Still +330. Second only to the guy leading him by 6, who is +300. The realistic frontrunner Harris English is +500.

Cobra LTDx LS Black 10.5 R - UST Mamiya LinQ M40x White 6F3, (-2")

Cobra Speedzone 14.5 (+1⁰) R - Tensei AV 65g

Callaway Apex '21 4 Hybrid 21 R - UST Mamiya Recoil Dart 75 HB

Callaway Apex '19 5i - AW - R - Nippon N.S. Pro 950GH

Cleveland RTX6 - 58/9 - Mid - Nippon Pro Modus3 105g, Wedge

Cleveland Huntington Beach Soft Premier 3 - 35", (-1"), (+3g)

Gotta love Tony’s nice little easy fairway finder swing @ only 187mph BS…

Yeah I saw him hit what looked like a choked down cut today that was 20 past one of Im's full swing straight balls.

Cause everyone knows Harry Hall would choke and its happening right now.

Scheffler is rightful favorite
