What are everyone's plans for the big game?

 

I suspect my wife will put out some food to gnosh on, no one over to the game, just us two.  Then after halftime we will get bored and start watching something else.  We just finished the 5th season of Fargo, and I found season 4 easy to tune out, but not season 5.  Then we watched the last two Reachers last night, so who knows what we will be changing the channel to on Sunday.

 

My wife was born in SF so this might change if its a decent game.  She knows less than i do about football so we will have to see if they cut to TayTay enough then we are in it for the long haul.

... Since I have the biggest TV at 85" my old timers golf crew are all coming over for the big game and the commercials. 3 of my normal pards and their wives, one of which plays for us regularly. Interestingly 2 of them have been friends for over 4 years and their wives have never met. 🤔  Our 4th 35 yr old pard may show up as a single. I will put out a sandwich spread of sourdough bread with fresh sliced turkey, ham and organic: tomatoes, lettuce, sliced avocado and havarti cheese. Folks are also bringing a veggie tray, chips, homemade cookies and maybe some other surprises. None of us drink alcohol so drinks are various sparkling water and some iced tea.

But the playoff race for 1st place is simply between the over and under between the 2 leaders.

 

Iirc, the only possible tie (for 1st) would've been between Hickory and NJBF, and now that they've made the same picks, the tie can't happen.

I would think the VAST majority of people don't really know where their "line" is,,,,,,, or even if they have one, since one doesn't likely know where their line is until one needs to know.

 

I mean it's easy for me to say I'd never take Saudi money. But if that check was offered to me, then what ?

 

Now, me being at an advanced age where I'm comfortable where I am, and don't see all that much need for "more", maybe I could stick to my guns.

 

But if I were 20 years younger ? Who knows ? I don't.

 

But when people who already have "generational wealth" take even more money for the same or less effort, from a source they know is corrupt and "evil", who's to say anyone is willing to stand by what they (say they) believe in ? Willing to NOT cross their line. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No . It will be a home cooked meal out of a box. All apps., taquitos, mozzarella sticks, potato skins, Ben and Jerrys and might throw on some Zatarains and couple types of sausage. It will definitely be food coma time.
