It's not the time amount. It's the number of times she is shown. Would rather see other people in stands, which hardly happened at all.

All this to say, I suspect she is learning about football as she goes.  She may overreact, but she is an effusive personality (if the music is to be believed).  Some folks are wired to be mellow, some aren't.  I would say she is in the second camp.  I will also say, her boyfriend played a great second half.  Didn't love the Andy Reid chestbump bit, but when it came down to it, he was a stud on the football field.

 

 

... Yup. Professional perspective but I just really dislike over acting in any form. One of the reason I have never liked musicals. Or Jim Carrey. But they are both loved by the masses so it is what it is and I have no problem with either of them, other than not personally enjoying them. So while I don't care for TS's overacting, I certainly accept it and imagine many including her fans love her emoting. I think there are people that go through live getting angry at things they don't like and to me that is just a waste of a gift. So my philosophy is you don't have to like it but you have to accept it and not let any of it bother or even affect you.

That's not all that great but I guess that beats being in the red. A lot of bets got paid out fortunately they know how to hedge and keep the money coming in by always adjusting the odds and vig

I was surprised that our defending champ from last year @CHuntsman didn't submit any picks for the Super Bowl. I hope everything is all right in the ATL with the Browns fan.

 

What? we didn't get any final words from @TheDarkKnight_ ?  After being the King of Statements during the Playoffs I was expecting at least a parting shot. 😄  Thanks to my friend Aaron (Hickory) and tatertot for jumping in also as newbies during the Playoffs with Dark Knight.

 

It was awesome to have the first year guys  @Triple Lindy  @imkirby34 @nsxguy @Double Mocha Man , and @chisag in the mix this season.

 

Man what can I say? what can I say about the other dudes?  

 

@doctoro  @NCLancer @NJBigFish22  you three have been around for a few years and I thank you for finding this contest/thread entertaining enough to be repeat customers.  

 

That leaves the two veterans  @Qqq123xx and @Petethreeput . You two have been with me since day one.  It's been dandy that both of you became addicted to the place right off the bat. 😃

 

I say thanks to all of you for making this group interesting and fun since August of last year.

Yes I fell in love with the Maryland Terrapins as a young kid spending my young years of my childhood in Prince Georges County Maryland. I remember those teams that competed admirably against the vaunted Dean Smith Tar Heels and Jim Valvano's NCST.  The early Coach K years of Duke, Ralph Sampson at UVA and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with guys like Mark Price, John Salley, Stephon Marbury came after that era but still great nonetheless. I remember Tree Rollins from Clemson.  He was a big fella.

The ACC was all world in basketball back then and Lefty with his Dick Vitale demeanor was animated and got his players to buy in

Guys like the curly red headed Jim O'Brien, John Lucas, Owen Brown, Len Elmore and Tom McMillan, who played on that infamous 72 Olympic team with 3 players from the ACC Tom Burleson, NCST, Bobby Jones UNC and Tom McMillan who later served in the House of Representatives and started 3 companies.  He was heavily recruited by Dean Smith and John Wooden from UCLA, but opted to go with Lefty and the Terps.  Don't worry Wooden had to settle for a guy named Bill Walton. All those games at Cole Field House were a spectacle event! My Uncle Vince took me and my cousin to a few.  

My cousin would go on and graduate from Maryland later with an engineering degree and worked at the state department until he retired about 3 years ago.

Len Bias was his biggest catch and was a damn good basketball player.  Every bit as good as Jordan.  He was not a drug user but had friends who partook in those things and when he was picked to go to the Celtics got caught up in the celebrations and tried cocaine and he ended up dead from to much cocaine in the system.  

Never got to play in a Celtics uniform.

Lefty took a hit on that situation and was released and ended up at James Madison Univeristy in Harrisionburg Va and later at Georgia State.  

He put University of Maryland on the basketball map and I was lucky enough to be witness to those great ACC tournament wins and rivals of the ACC 

Cole Field House was rocking back then.  Gary Williams inherited all that basketball euphoria and later brought them a National Championship.
