Is the Standard bounce a grind to choose for a 3/4-Full swing with 50*?

I’m gonna give the new 790’s a good testing for sure. Then these MG4s are going in the bag.

Always got on well with TM wedges for some reason, will certainly add a 56* and keen on trying out the lob wedge options, good to have a few more grind and bounce options

Very good looking. Don't really get the green color scheme for branding with Stealth being red & black... Not sure if this means next year TM is switching to a more white/green colorway for woods?

 

Grinds are definitely getting better. Still annoyed that lefties can't get an all raw custom finish... If they are trying to compete with Vokey, their MyMG4 program is really lacking right now. Hopefully that changes, they are trending in a very good direction.

Ordering a 60 LB.  Hard to believe they can make a better wedge than the mg3 but looking forward to these for next season

Really interested in the 60 with the high bounce w grind. I hate playing out of the sand generally so would love the playability there, and could use it out of the green side rough, but switch to my mg3 56 on tighter lies in an sb.

A significant change appears to be away from raised micro-ridges to a more conventional looking cross groove. A drawback to the micro-ridges IME was that they wear down rather quickly and mainly in the normal impact area. Using small feature size grooves and ridges may provide an initial advantage, but over time they only serve to create variation across the face.

Of course it does ! 😄 it's Taylormade remember. They load the CAD file, rename it and then save it as MG4. Job done.

It looks as different as an SM6/7/8/9 does when these change...I'd argue more so with the new face tech

 

We need to realise that some clubs can't be fundamentally changed and it's natural to do a slight cosmetic refresh every 2 years to keep the product fresh

None of the new grind options are available for left hand, unfortunately.
 

The other change that hasn’t generated any notice here is that they’ve gone from the standard DG Tour Issue to the DG115. As someone playing mid weight iron shafts, that’s for the good IMO. For someone used to heavier weights, maybe not so much.
