Not really, at least IMO I don't think adding apparel in an already crowded space, even with TW fronting it, would move the valuation much for TM.  And, even if it did, it wouldn't move immediately, they would need time to generate sales.

To me, Greyson makes much more sense.  You would also think, if there is an equity play involved with anyone, that TW wouldn't have let Charlie go any where other than where he would be getting equity.

I do think it could be either but I think odds are in favor of Greyson.  Shouldn't have to wait too much longer to find out.

I just can’t imagine Taylor made branded apparel doing well. Look at Ping or Callaway branded stuff.

 

They should acquire one of these smaller companies which is trending upwards and treated as a separate entity, like Callaway and Travis Mathew. It’s the clear blueprint

This. I would be shocked if Tiger allowed his son to go to Greyson (Charlie is a minor so his parents would have to sign off on any kind of sponsorship) if he wasn't going there as well. Tiger knows what is going on in the background and allowing his minor son to be sponsored by Greyson seems like a sign of where Tiger will end up. You would think Tiger and Charlie would be a package deal considering Charlie is only on TV for one week a year. Tiger is on TV for the 4 most watched weeks of the year with cameras following his every move

Especially if Tiger's deal involves equity.  If it was just a standard sponsorship contract, then sure I could see them going with separate companies bc "the deal is the deal", sales don't matter.  But if TW is getting equity then he is going to want that company to be as successful as possible and locking up probably the biggest "get" in upcoming golfers (whether he makes it on tour or not at this point) would be big for that goal.

Interesting, I just seen something about how RF and TW are not close anymore and how their relationship ended abruptly years ago.  This doesn’t seem like a good fit unless ON is getting ready to dive deep into the golf game.

Came to post the screenshots about 20 minutes ago and was way late to the party. Not surprised with the news today, wouldn’t surprise me in the least if he goes to Greyson since they pickup up Charlie. Probably an equity deal like Federer got with ON.

That seems the most likely scenario. 
 

Whatever he does will at least be better than JDay’s recent move.
