Golf Ball Deals

In asking about balls on another thread, a lot of people seemed to know when a deal occurred for a certain ball maker, and what the deal was. For instance, it sounds like Srixon does a buy 1 get 1 free deal in December and Fathers Day. It also sounds like Titleist does a 'buy 3, get 1 free' deal in March or April.

 

Do people know of other regular deals and what they are for balls? Would be useful to know so I don't buy a dozen a month before that particular brand goes on sale.

No others come to mind. You can never go wrong purchasing on Black Friday. Every time I check, OnCore has 2 dozen packs.

Callaway and TaylorMade usually have their 4 for 3 boxes that will come out but that's a year long thing.

Thoughts on the newest models?  Candidly, I have never hit one and people seem to be pretty split on them.

Last years Bridgestone premium balls are on sale at several places.  The BX and BXS are $75 for three dozen from maple hill, the R series are $85 for three dozen.  RBG has them on sale too but for a bit more money.

Stopped at Wal-Mart this morning and they had ERC soft for $20.50 and Chrome Soft for $23.00.  Also TM Tour Soft and Tour Speed and a few others for roughly half price.

The covers are really hit or miss.  Had some balls last a full round and others not survive a single bunker shot.  
 

They are improving the cover and plan to Introduce new models in the coming months.

Picked up 4 dozen of Maxfli tour for $100 at dicks.  120 on sale and then used a 20 off coupon. Going on right now

Did you do this in-store or online? I signed up for text alerts to get a $20 coupon but I can’t get it to apply to the Maxfli balls. Go figure!

It went in store.  Didnt work at first but she rescanned and it worked.

I always buy the new balls 

I have never bought used balls on eBay or anywhere else for that matter

Just recently you could get previous generation Chrome Soft $109.00 for 3 dozen

As with any deal, you have to search to find one these days

Yeah, good advice. I bought 3 dozen Tp5 and 3 dozen TP5x on ebay last fall. I think I paid around $27/dozen on average. The only catch was that the balls were in 2 ball sleeves.

This is what I’ve been seeing to. Thinking about moving away from the Vice Pros to Snell, but waiting to see what the new balls look like. Vice’s price increase was meh…

Srixon is having the "buy 3 get 4" deal right now.  I hope they do a 3 for 2 again around Fathers Day.  Last years XV are 2 for $65

RBG is selling Bridgestone B XS prior generation in bulk packaging for as low as $22.50 a dozen.  New balls in bulk packaging for 1/2 the price.

 

I think it's time to redeem my credits with them, crazy price.

The Target’s around me had these on discount for $11/dozen a few weeks ago. Most have sold out already, but I bought a couple dozen. Couldn’t pass them up for the price!

My local PGA SS has 2 dozen packs of Z-Star Diamond for $70... think I'll be stocking up.

Just picked up 3 dozen Velocity for $9.50 per dozen at Walmart.  They keep restocking them and the price keeps getting lower (they were $17.50 last week).  Tour Soft were on sale too but I don't know enough about them.

I just ordered 6 dozen Pro Plus Drip for $160. Basically $27/dozen for a ball that stands up quite nicely to the Pro V1x.

Srixon’s website does as well.  What’s the reasoning when they’re $49.99 a dozen but $69.99 for the “Limited Edition 24 pack”?

They have had those 24 packs at various online retailers for a few years now, usually for $65 a 24 pack of last years balls.

Haha quite the marketing from Srixon.  So “Limited Edition” = Old.
